Agreed - I'm a straight woman and think he's hot af because he's a beautiful looking man, but he has a feminine aspect (which I think comes from his very sensual style of dance?) which makes him so much more alluring than other men. Yes, Taemin has transcended k-pop, creating his own genre. In this video, he portrays Temptation. Someone even made a video citing the religious symbolism in his work (since hes Catholic) because he plays with the ideas of good and evil or light, as embodied in his recent work, Criminal and Idea. Thank you for your lovely reactions, as always. Day and Night is another song, (maybe not well known version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5TMmmucecafidU), as well as Black Rose and Heaven (Mama 2020 version medley with Criminal and Idea). I recently saw a video of SHINee doing a song called Evil at a concert in Seoul as well as Taemin in a concert piece called Slave. Love it!

As a shawol (SHINee fan) myself, I must say that has never bothered me that some call Taemin the Korean MJ or some say that his style remind them to MJ, because it's obviously that Taemin is super inspired on him, as a good fan of the pop king. Actually I think it's a big honor and compliment for Taemin to be called like that. Among the fandom we even joke that Taemin is Michael's lost son lol Taemin also feels really honored when they call him that, although, in all his humility, replies that he still needs a lot to be at that level. This year he will be alone because the rest of the SHINee members are enlisting for their military service :( so he is preparing a lot as a soloist and many fans are waiting for a world tour. I hope it happens and you guys have the opportunity to see him live✨ Anyway, thank you for your reaction, I hope y'all react to SHINee more💕💕

Idk if someone has commented on this already or not but the story behind the song is fantastic. Basically it's about temptation, Taemin embodies Satan and he expresses this within his vocals, imagery and choreography. The lyrics signify the sweet whispers of the devil tempting you into consuming the "forbidden fruit" in the garden of Eden. In his lyrics he goes so far to state that once you take him in you'll be wanting and thirsting for more. The snakes represent the devil as the serpent coaxing eve and in the opening he dances in a way that mimics a snakes motions. His outfits designs and color schemes and even the varying hairstyles he displays also have a sort of pop-suave-devil like allure. The tone is overall very sensual, and at the very end of the video Taemin is dancing in front of the gates of Hell. The artistry Taemin delivers us has been and continues to be leagues above his peers.

Funny thing about Taemin is that when he is on stage he can turn his sexy, sensual side up to 1000, but if you knew him in real life you would soon discover he is the most innocent, sweetest guy who truly is the youngest member of SHINee. When people comment about him being cute or sexy he usually blushes and gets kind of shy. If all you knew him from was off stage, you would probably never guess he was capable of being this overtly sexy. However, since he debuted as a soloist he has become known for that sexy stage presence. He really is an all around artist and a sweet heart of a person. :D And he, nor any of his true fans, would ever be offended that he is compared to Micheal Jackson. Believe me, it is not lost on him nor SM Entertainment that he emulates MJ. Taemin has actually done several Micheal Jackson tribute events and stages over the years Koreans actually really love Micheal Jackson and there have been numerous instances over the years of Kpop artists doing Micheal Jackson tribute themed programs and stages. if you ever want to see Taemin and SHINee dancing and singing for a Micheal Jackson tribute stage all you have to do is search KZbin for Taemin or SHINee or even Kpop and Micheal Jackson. There are probably at least a dozen videos. Also go ahead and compare him to Kai, no problem. Taemin and Kai are best friends and they are widely known as twins. Its no surprise that they remind you of each other because they are so similar in looks, personality, stage presence, off stage presence, they are the same age, they entered SM Entertainment around the same age, went to school together and trained together, etc. You should see pictures of them together when they were younger, they really do look like twins. They even have some of the same nicknames and mannerisms.

i know i’m a month late but i thought this brief summary to explain my deep opinion about the MV since allot of others seem to get the wrong idea with their theories & conception based on what they see because of the theme/concept taemin used for his MV.... He literally slayed me on the spot 👻🥰 im 100% okay with it....he is pure art, his manly elegance & extreme attractiveness is his power; *this proves he’s the korean michael jackson of kpop b/c of his dancing style & smoothness who’s 100x better* in my opinion (Don’t get me wrong MJ was a great influential artist worldwide and made good music that never gets old but i personally wasn’t a fan of his). I’m a mutlifan for life! I stayed up all night on the day of his vlive showcase where he said he was concerned at first about the snakes then he got close to them and it was actually fun! He explains that his new album is all about “Taemin”......In the music video he’s talking about the “Temptation” of wanting more, when he mentions the forbidden apple and dancing in front of a large door to wherever that goes, that’s what i get from reading the lyrics & meaning behind the album! I really love the album altogether especially the first three songs. i couldn’t really keep up with what they were saying during his showcase b/c there wasn’t enough eng subs which kind of sucked! I think he also mentioned and explained that it’s a combination of “Move” & “Danger” put together! And In a recent closed interview he opens up about the changes after jonghyun’s death. Later he had an interview on Idol room along with artists NCT Jeno & Jisung, Kim Dong-Han, and SF9 Chani. Despite the MV and concept he used, my taemin is everything except evil...hes too pure to be evil! Knowing how much he’s deeply hurting and going through allot of physical & emotional detachment changes since Jonghyun’s death even tho it’s been a year on top of Onew’s enlisting 2 months ago, recent Key had enlisted & upcoming Minho’s enlistment. *In my opinion, I believe the song itself is his way of trying to reach out to everyone to love him more and not let go! He’s using is power of elegance & extreme attractiveness to pull people in, his sweetheart personality and goofiness is what attracted me to him back when they debuted in 2008!*
