@@drobgyn5615only one NIGHT flying helicopter. As of yesterday, during the day, they had 1 air attack, 4 type 3 air tankers, 4 type 1 copters, 3 type 3 engine strike teams (15 engines), 2 type 6 engine strike teams (10 engines), 3 dozer strike teams (6 dozers), 10 water tenders. Night-flying tanker helicopters are a new thing. There are only a handful of Fire Hawks in the state, and only a handful of pilots fully trained on them.

They have had a night flying helicopter since before sunset and they have a second night flight helicopter heading to the fire now.

A blimp can carry 3 or 4 times more water than what a large jet can carry. Use one 8 of the fuel and could fly at night w light winds. But DUHHH ITS CALIF.
