I suppose I came here from fnafb yes... but this song was so damn good that I looked up (and emulated) Riviera, and I have to say, while it is somewhat... outdated relative to rpgs releasing today, it holds up against the test of time for me Tldr: if you haven't played Riviera, go do so, emulate it if you have to

I emulated Riveria on a PSP emulator. The gameplay is pretty eh and I especially hate the lack of mobility, the awkwardness of the controls and the QTEs. The characters and story is also pretty generic and mediocre and its not exactly anything grand. Its a gem of the past and a nice small Japanese rpg, and the sprite art, some of the interactions and the soundtrack do make up for it

You're an angel send by the magi to purge the Riviera and at some point you have lose your memories through magic so you live amongst the sprites and feel for them instead of purging them. At some point you feel for them and your bond with them and you literally go against, demons, angels, fallen angels, magi and Gods to save them. There are secret scenes during the PSP game based on your choices, my favorite is when Ein your character is forcefully breaks I his limits during an extra story if I recall correctly, it kind of reminds me dragon Ball super when kakarot was going on and off in super Saiyan state against jiren, I love this kind of limit breaking moments.
