I'm always interested in these but there's a real dearth of information on the Eastwood website. Poly or nitro finishes? Ceramic or Alnico pickups (they all have random names with no info)? Etc.

Pretty sure the P90’s are alnico but at a Korean made import guitar it will definitely not be Nitro finish. I have one on the way

@@toliskoskinas I bought mine about a year ago and I'm very happy with it. I have the Mondata II HB and the quality is better than I expected. It hangs in the studio constantly and absolutely no issues.

I had the same questions you had. I bought my Rivolta Combinata without knowing the finish type or specifics on the pickups. It's an incredible guitar and for the $1200 I paid it's well, well worth it. I own a Les Paul R8 and a Custom Shop Tele and the Combinata is honestly better build quality than both of those guitars and cost about 1/3 the price. As for the finish, it's definitely not Nitro but it's not a super thick plastic feeling finish either. I'm pretty sure it's the same finish that's on my Duesenberg Star Player Deluxe, so if you like the finish on those you'll love these. It's definitely not that cheap feeling finish you find on Epiphones and the like.

Great vid. I love the Novo guitars but way beyond my budget range. Was excited to learn of these Rivolta guitars being more affordable, though they seem to be lacking that precious tone that the Novos have. Definitely not a bad sounding guitar but seem to be lacking the soul of the Novos in my opinion. Maybe good for blues and country but not so much for alternative rock. As for the German carve, I personally think it looks odd and prefer the straight edges of Fanos other guitars. I’d either go fully rounded or a hard straight edge with future models. It reminds me of the bad Photoshop designs where everyone added a bevel to all their graphics. Personal preference of course. I just prefer minimalist and clean. Love the reliced look of the Novo guitars as well as the subdued color options.

So what you are trying to say is that the amp/speaker and mic setup in this video is more blues and country and not alt rock?

Use my Rivolta for indie rock, it sounds great. It can do some almost Rick jangle clean (esp with highs EQd up), or chunkier things. But i’m into pedals, and i find pairing with a compressor, EQ, a boost, to be a great way to get more versatility out of the sound.
