I feel like you kinda missed the point of Bassem. He says that he does not want to be the figurehead of any conflict and I can totally understand him. He is a comedian and not a politician. He may draw attention to certain topics but he doesnt see himself as some politicial activist or hero that will change the people's mind. I feel like thats what makes him authentic. A lot of "influencers" on social media just seem to chase clout and gain followers by constantly posting about this conflict. A lot of grifters and far-right people just talking about it because they know people will follow or donate them if they agree with that statement..

I humbly suggest that Dr.Yusuf could do a great deal to advance the inseparable causes of Justice and Peace in the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis, by serving as Prime Minister of either nation. Acheiving success as both a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and as a Standup Comedian (in his second language) says a lot in favor of both his scientific abilities, and his humanistic skills.

Great interview. I hope some day I disagree with Yusuf so I can prove him wrong. I think I would like him even if I disagree with him at some point (which I think is unlikely because I would consider such a position carefully and smart and informed people seem to agree an aweful lot).
