Great tutorials, appreciate the pace and clarity! Got a question regard deselecting: if I already had some edges selected, how do I deselect part of those edges using select shortest path? I'm using RizomUV default shortcuts, it seems the Ctrl + Shift deselect shortcut doesn't work well with the Shift (shortest path preview).

Ctrl+Shift+ Double left mouse click. Or drag deselect.

@@RizomUV Humm...I couldn't get it to work, Ctrl + Shift + double LMB click only deselect all of the selected edges, maybe I missed something? I tried with different select mode (edge loop/shortest path) and the result was the same. The scenario is that I have selected some connected edges, but I only want to deselect part of them using the select shortest path feature. However, the Shift shortcut will interfere with deselect shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + LMB click). Ctrl + Shift + LMB drag works, but sometimes deselecting the shortest path is easier and faster than drag deselect.

We can isolate islands, but how do we isolate an entire mesh, such as a column mesh on a temple composed of many meshes?

just started my trial and imported a model to follow along, what I'm noticing is when i try to select an edge its not selecting where my arrow is, or if i drag a rectangle it starts away from my arrow not sure why.

I don't get that ctrl+shift function for live previewing edges selection. What is the shortcut, please? EDIT: just figured it out, it's solely shift.

It depends on which control layout you are using, if you look at the bottom right of the UI, it shows a shortcut guide based on your control setup.

In island mode, hover your cursor over the island and double click middle mouse button.

Press the transform tool button, they will be displayed on the right.

@@Karimozoro I thought you wanted Align Straighten Flip? In any case, you can find the magic wand under the select tool attributes (you need to be in polygon mode too)

My loop selection always stops at selections no matter what i set. How do I fix that?

On the right side of the UI, under the "Edge Loop" section, uncheck "Stop at Selection"

Virtual Space = For models that will end up in a "Virtual Space" (think game engines, rendering) Real Space = For UV that will be brought into the real world (laser cutting guides, printing)
