Perhaps the Fill Holes command could be called something else like Conserve Holes or something? The developers are the only people that (in 99% of cases) need to know that invisible temporary faces are being added. That seems like something that should be a footnote in some documentation, meanwhile the button itself has a more descriptive and practical name. This is only a humble suggestion! The program does so much it almost feels wrong to be picky about something like this.

Very good video. But if a "Fill holes" button doesn't actually fill holes, please give it another name. Just so we artists can keep our brains safe from strange coders concepts lol Also why that other button is called "T-Flips", what the T stand for. I know that remark may look dumb but honestly, sometimes even the tiniest thing can make one's life easier. CG is a difficult thing to learn, and we have to learn new things almost every month

The Fill Holes button does fill the empty area with polygons - you just can't see them, This is how we keep the holes in the mesh open. As for T-Flips, it's a common phrase for Triangle Flips. What it does, is to prevent the creation of triangle flips, so you won't get them on the edges or inside your island as a result of unwrapping or optimising. We hope this helped clarify, and that our concepts are not so strange after all :)
