Big time drama is going on in professional Rocket League. Also it's time I admit. EU is better than NA.

I think that trash talk gives character to a sport. Because it makes a story. Unfortunately the young average age of players makes the odds of someone taking things personally and getting out of hand much higher. Much love Rizzo.

I feel like roster changes in esports really ruins the scene, not just RL but in a lot of games. I don't see what the point of being a fan of a team is when half their players are going to be playing against them in a few months. I remember old csgo you'd get attached to teams and watch the rosters grow, it gave you something to root for. Now its just "we didn't win, who do we cut"

I personally don't find it entertaining at all but that is probably just my preferences. I would rather support a humble pro that does things the right way and is a good role model for the young kids in the scene. It may seem fun and games but these are kids purposefully going out of their way to make other kids feel bad online. Isn't depression and social anxiety at an all time high for kids on social media these days? Suicide, depression, bullying, etc? Didn't we make a big deal about Monkey Moon's depression and dealing with all the hate he was seeing online causing him to spiral? When is it to far? Adults may know when to hold back or stop but kids? Maybe Rise was just reacting to Oxygen, but Oxygen has players and staff that are proud of being on that org. Making fun of the Org IS making fun of them no matter how you to try to frame it. To me it does seem childish. It seems childish when grown adults are trash talking in real major sports as well. When a QB doesn't shake hands after a game people look down on that QB they don't praise them or find it funny. The drama is in the game, its in grudge matches between close teams in the standings. I don't think sports need PERSONAL beef between teams/players to be interesting. A G2 vs BDS rematch after last years Worlds is interesting by itself. Team LIquid vs Team Moist in Elsplashico is fun without the players shitting on each other. Sportsmanship is underrated and I will always root against players I feel are egomaniacs or rude even with talent.

@@fortysyv You are also a bit delusional. Have you ever watched a physical sport like football or soccer, whatever you prefer? A lot of players and alike fans behave like absolute infantile fools, and yet, it is the biggest sport in the world. This kind of behavior is actually comparatively rare within the eSport compared to other sports. The actual reason why people don't take RL or other sports 'more seriously' is due to the amount of money present within the eSport, and it is also partially due to the stigmas surrounding the age of the players and nature of eSports itself. That's it, not because there is a tiny bit of drama every couple of months. That's a pretty dumb take.

I think this kind of "drama" is great. The super dedicated fans get to watch it happen live and shout along with it on social media, the more casual fans get these kind of re-cap videos from rocket league creators. I'm here for it. More drama is more content, and it's going to build tension for the big events. I honestly don't care that much about the actual esport championships and whatnot that exist for rocket league, it's very low tension so whatever team wins just feels very whatever, rocket league could do with a lot more tension

I think its a bit inevitable to take it seriously sometimes, they are usually pretty young and esports deal with real money and orgs and that kind of stuff. Short-term engagement vs long-term scene culture. Sure the beef gets NA fans interested in EU, but it just encourages similar behaviour in the future from childish pros looking to make waves. People forget just how easily impressionable chidren are. Combine that with the business/financial stresses of being a pro and it's just a recipe to screw these kids up in their post-RL years. They're already treated like commodities by these orgs and Psyonix as a whole.

Trash talk is a necessary part of anything competitive. It's when it goes too far and attacking people becomes a thing that it becomes extremely childish. There's enough of that in typical online games. No need for pros to get involved in that. That's when it becomes unnecessary. EU is definitely outshining NA right now especially with the stories of first time RLCS players like Zen winning it all to favorites like Karmine Corp being knocked out of the competition when they're usually in the finals and NA just doesn't have that right now. Yes Complexity won but they're a top team and should've won earlier than this and GGM1 making it to finals is no big surprise at all. NRG still struggling to find their feet again and other teams just placing pretty much where expected. Just goes to show the gap right now in ability, skill, upcoming talents, potentials, tactics, foundation of teams etc

Rizzo, pick and choose clips on the regional clips. But Yes EU has the clips. But it's also how the teams play each other in the region. While EU is most definitely on top, the change in regional play, ADDING MENA and and SA, is a game changer for all the teams and why you see some NA, MENA and SA teams change it up and end up toward the top. Eu is TOP tier mechanics, MENA and SA is top speed, and NA seems to be top team play on the fundamental level. But they've had to raise the bar on mechanics and speed (while still not being the top), which is why what was the top 3 iin NA (rip cloud 9) has only g2 left. Atomic being unexpected and then the other two's passing and mechanical ability while not the best is still top tier. I myself, was a g2 fanboy all the way but was excited to see HOCKSER get a top tier org and see Optic place like they should've. so I have three teams that i am biased on now in NA. Sadly, I do not think Jknaps or Cago will win it all together. They are gatekeepers.

That is kind of funny, who is Noly again? and where is complexity from? NA is beeing takin over by other regions bit by bit and NA acts like it isn´t happening. The funny thing is NA tends to compare a single play here and there but loses the oversight of what was happening in a whole. I could pick one EU player out of many and just this one player would have more peakplays in his games than NA overall. Wanna keep comparing? NA needs to step up to keep up and the faster your region realizes this the better.
@SSChef182
@SSChef182 Жыл бұрын
@@reinerhoch1357 this is kinda funny because all EU highlights are against EU teams. So every highlight for 1 team is a low light for the other. A team liquid player had an own goal and saved his own teams shot in 1 game. All the players you listed play in NA so they are from the NA region. There is no taking over of a region if you move there, you become part of the region. I am not sure why you are so elitist about a car soccar video game but if you're European it makes sense and if you're anything else you just seem like a NA hater. Which ever it is hope your team wins so you feel moral superiority for the children playing for your team.

@@SSChef182 See there is the issue, if we had any team comming from outside europe but playing in the region and dominating the region just imagine th eraction of NA. Or vise versa if GenG or Complexity sucked arse you would not remotly want to relate to them as NA. Don´t even try and deny it. My das was in The U.S.Military and I know the American mentality just all to well and your comment proves that. You are judging but obviously didn´t watch what your are judging. I follow both regions very closely and I am happy on both side because I am the winner by getting alot of fine Rocket League to watch. I am also realistic and if it was the other way around I would but just as honest but atm this is not the case. Take the Vatira gial wich you said means a lowlight for the oppsing team, wich was BDS and funny enough Vatiras goal was pretty much a repeat of the goal Monkeymoon did prior to Vatira. That equals the lowside and the highside of things. You know what its even worthless talking to ya cause it will end as it always does. NA bigmouthing over regions and when push comes to shove you guys run out of the arena disrespecting the winners just because it was not your region. We have seen this happen so many time where as EU stays and honors the winners even if EU lost. Big menatl difference and NA has proven this on every possible occasion when they lost, much probs for such a pathetic attitude.

Grown men and professional athletes trash talk. Y'all too soft for calling this toxic. As long as it doesn't cross that line of becoming real personal, I'd say talk all you want. Win that mental warfare. Find me in rlcs spamming what a save
