In order to avoid relegation, they essentially needed to win all their upcoming matches since they lost to teams generally considered lower tier like Eunited and rogue. But against all odds, they did, sweeping NRG, the first ever battle of 2 world champion teams, as well as ghost and Pittsburgh knights. I remember watching those games being in absolute shock how much cloud9 bounced back
