RJ Coil Car is used as a Weight as a Standard GP unit has enough power to pull 20 fully loaded cars by itself the Coil car actually helps the unit gain better traction as all Locomotives do have a breaking point where they will slip or lose the traction power when running single head-power when pulling Heavy loads, mainly they get light on their feet, weighing them down more Helps the Lead unit stretch out its traction gain Giving the Traction Motors more Traction Power. Most mainline units in bigger consist with 3 or 9 locomotives at the lead DON'T need all that power so a 3rd of the units will be put into Isolation which means their Traction Power does nothing to help with traction effort and makes those locomotives empty like a rail car but helps with Locomotive Brakes and Weight, as that's why certain railroads use a spacer car as a Dead Weight car. Yes a Train can have way too much Front Lead Power which makes the train really aggressive and harder for the engineer to control when pulling light loads, which is why Isolation is used. More Power only means faster Runaways.
