Got the mini 6 and have not looked back since. Minimalistic and great for some gaming and media consumption. Don't really need the other bells and whistle for my main use and for real work I fire up my laptop.

I LOVE my Mini 6! I take it everywhere with me. Haven’t had any jelly scrolling (or maybe I don’t notice). The portability is why I chose it. Bigger than my phone (12 Mini), but smaller than my M1 MacBook Air. Such a fun device…esp to hold on bed.

Mini~ the portability is huge. I feel like when I was using the air 5th gen it was super visible like here’s my tv or cutting board. Not as easy to hold as the mini. The mini is also easier for reading and especially on the go. Easier to just pop out and jot down a few notes or look something up that is harder to see on my phone. 🍑 I opted for the 256 GB mini 6 with cellular.

Nice review man. My choice is being complicated by the fact the M1 Air is now on sale for $499, same price as the Mini 😅... I am still leaning toward the Mini but would wait for it to drop to $399 hopefully. With both at $499, the "value" like you mentioned for the Air is definitely in my mind. The M1 chip is very tempting and "futureproof"... but the size may just be too much for me.

Great comparison! I have the MB Air so I decided to buy the iPad Mini 6 because is more mobility and I can take this everywhere! I'm a photographer and traveler so I like bigger screen but not this time :)

It is a tough decision. I think you’ve covered everything well. I might add you omitted the fact the rear camera on the Mini has a ‘flash,’ whereas the Air 5 does not. Excellent and thorough comparison and review Sir!

My mini 6 lasts almost as long as my 13 pro, don’t let that hurt your decision though because the 13 pro lasts almost twice as long as my 12 pro did, it has some serious tablet level battery life

The Air 5 is a battery hog, relatively speaking. Some other channel did a rundown test on all the current IPads, and the Air 5 was one of the worst. The Mini 6 did fairly well as a matter of fact. The base Ipad performed really well. I have a 2nd Gen 11 Pro Ipad, so I am leaning towards the Mini. Take care

I really can't decide!!! i'm a teacher, I intend to use iPad as my whiteboard, and project my screen on the projector screen. I walk around in the classroom with iPad for the whole session. and i sometimes do pass iPad to the students to do some exercise as well. Should i buy the slightly heavier ipad air 5 or mini 6?? i need help. or i will just do coin toss.

The large variety of productivity/entertainment uses for the Mini demonstrates how versatile it can be for so many people. Master of Nun - But Good at a lot of stuff - Fine by me!!! I bought an iPad Mini 2 Cellular 10 years ago. I do not browse with it - I'm an adult - so I use my 14" laptop to browse and an Apple TV for viewing. After 10 years of ownership - I use my Mini almost exclusively when I "TRAVEL" - to do the following (otherwise it sits in a drawer) #1- as a GPS unit in my vehicles - the best GPS ever (70%) That's after over 150K miles of road trips (FYI - lots of pilots use the Mini for in-flight info) - when I need a GPS around town - my iPhone works fine. #2 - as a Sidecar or mirror screen to view video paired with a M2 MBA (25%) #3 - as an eReader (4%) #4 - the odd miscellaneous task (1%) This might change with the pencil. I will likely buy the new Mini 7 when it comes out @ year end. The Mini is simply a great portable high performance device that sits between an iPhone & MBA M2 as a complimentary but not essential device.

Not going with the Air 5. Back in Jan 2022 I purchased an 11" iPad Pro 2021 and iPad mini 6. I am happy and wondering if I would go iPad Pro again or settle for the next iPad Air when the time comes. 🍑

If you’ve already gotten a Pro, then do not go with any iPad without Promotion. Because you may not notice it now, but you WILL if you try to use go back to a 60hz iPad…
