Chanyeol was the one who suggested they form a subunit. Through SM's project STATION they first released WE YOUNG and then they worked on their first mini album. Chanyeol has always been interested in writing songs and is part of a producing team. Actually On me was produced by them. Both Chanyeol and Sehun have a lot of creative control for their subunit and cowrite most of the songs with a hip-hop artist called Gaeko. Their vibe is like chill hip hop with r&b and pop. Fun fact: Chanyeol and Sehun have been really close since their trainee days because they used to go back to their homes from SM together everyday since they lived in the same area. Some even say Chanyeol raised Sehun. However, through their time preparing to debut as EXO SC, Sehun used to talk down to him so Chanyeol got upset but he realized from that moment on he just preferred to treat Sehun as the hyung🤣🤣🤣

In this album, SM only wanted to do a solo for Chanyeol. Sehun didn't have a solo. Chanyeol didn't do this wrong and Sehun paid for his solo out of his own pocket. He produced and shot the mv. Chanyeol is a really good bro.

Loved this! On Me is hugely under appreciated. Of all the things I’ve been mad at SM Entertainment for, making such short mvs of both Sehun’s and Chanyeol’s solos from the album is toward the top. I love Sehunnie so much. I feel like he’s very true to himself. For example, he knows people have said he’s gay-I think someone flat out asked him during a live-and he seems to give zero ducks if people think he is or isn’t.

hi rj! "on me" was produced by studio159 which is chanyeol's music studio. sehun wrote the whole lyrics from scratch about his life and things he wonders about. the lyric video you watched isn't so good tho. several of the other songs in their two albums were also written by the two of them, both in production and lyrics. "we young" was their first song together. "go" is his first solo. both "go" and "on me" are the type of song he likes to do, to dance and to listen to. sehunie is really under appreciated by sm but we love him and his talented voice, views and dance moves!
