RK006 Polychaining: PolyMUX

Is the polychain also possible with other gear? I have a Moog grandmother a Mavis and a behringer crave? Can you assign 3 independent voices to (a triad)?

The polymux/polychain can work on different machines, yes- you can group outputs on the rk006 to control from one midi input. There are two modes of polychaining/ ‘round robin’ (just alternating channels/ports) or voice reserve. In ‘voice reserve’ the rk006 will keep ports/channels occupied but timing a 3-voice reserve on an 8-note poly setting would be ‘math music’. You might better plug in a RK002 if you need more that one polymuxer

How are you changing the track using the launchkey?

The RK008 has a midi control channel, if that’s set you can control playback of the RK008 via midi keys on that channel

can it be configured wirelessly in the future maybe, without the need to disconnect the devices?

You can plug in a Widi or Yamaha BT dongle in the rk006 and do port configurations via Bluetooth

Just watching on an old elephant the Roland VariOs and guess what, it can play 6 parts of samples on 6 channels, therefore it can play poly samples like the DT did here!
