What is up Flatland Riders? Dylan and I heard all your comments on wanting to see a breakdown of my Flatland Bike so here is the video on that. This is the S&M ATF and I go over the entire setup and all of the parts included on this bike. While most of the parts are from ‪@sandmbikes‬, there are also some parts on here from ‪@BSDBMX1991‬ as well as from ‪@odsyvision‬.
I really love this bike as all the new school geometry and technology has helped made certain tricks a lot easier. In general I use this bike for all of my flatland riding as well as for Skate Parks and sometimes Dirt Jumping. It really is a great all around bike.
Anyways, we will be doing more Bike Breakdowns in the future on the different rides Dylan and I have. We are thinking the HARO Steel Reserve 1 will be up next.
Thanks for watching and leave a comment below with the name of your Daily Driver Bike.
Keep Ridin'

Alright guys we are back here with something a little different for you. Today we are going to do a bike break down, a lot of you have been asking and requesting for this. So RL’s going to go over the details of his S&M ATF. That's the model right? Yes. Cool. Before we do that though, we wanted to tell you about one of the events, upcoming events that we are going to be going to. This one is a little bit down the road from now, it is in June on June 5th. And it is called the Buckeye Bike Show. It is going to be in Dayton Ohio right? It is in Dayton Ohio and it is Alan, and Jamie I think. I got to make sure sorry about that guys, but those two guys are, Mike introduced me to them, those guys have been handling everything. And I will get their names straight sorry about that.
Yeah and it is BuckeyeBikeShow.com is the website, it has all of the information and you can register your bike there. But we also have posts on all of our social media you can check out for more details. It's a swap meet and it's a bike show. Yeah it sounds like a bike show and a swap meet. So people will be selling Parts their, and then there will also be contests for different bikes. So I know they've got several different categories, off the top of my head I know there is a retro category. A race category I think, maybe old school, and there was a few, oh Best in Show I think or most rare or something like that. But if you visit the website you will be able to see all the details on that.
I have never been to one of those shows so this ought to be pretty interesting. Yeah this will be my first one too. And I was talking to Alan and Allen, and Jamie. God I hope I got that name right. But the area that it is going to be in, the arena or it's at a college or something. Yeah it's like a stadium at a college. Yeah it is a nice area it is really nice. I have seen videos, what? I asked him are you going to had air conditioning. Because Jamie was saying bring two, Jamie told me if you want to ride skateparks bring two helmets. That's how sweaty they get. Riding at night. Oh wow, jeez. And I am like well. Yeah I saw videos from previous events that these guys put on and they all looked really cool.
The locations they use looks really cool, yeah, there are tons of people that show up. And the bikes just looked really cool too. Yeah. Sweet so we are going to get into this breakdown of the S&M, before we do that though I just want to show you guys really quickly the, one of the pairs of shoes that Etnies hooked us up with. This is the Veer Slip as you can see. It is a slip-on but it has the really thick Michelin Soul at the bottom so pretty soft on top but around the gum line, it is pretty thick. So I think this would actually be a good shoe for riding in or if you want to just like cruise around walking shoe type of thing oh, that is cool as well. Nice.
Yeah and you know what I want to say, one thing that is cool about Etnies is they came after us, well John contacted me and they are like, we are like hey thanks for the shoes. And they are like hey thanks for doing this, and we appreciate that cuz we are not getting paid for any of this stuff. And some, I mean a lot of the, I paid for this whole entire bike. I got it at a discount from flatland fuel but we are paying for a lot of this and the SE bike was given to me. But Dylan and Pat paid for there's so does not like we are getting paid for this, so just nice when people go hey man thanks, we appreciate what you're doing. And so John we appreciate your support on these shoes, it has been good. Yeah John Povah has been really cool!
Okay so I am going to do this from memory, and I am not reading the spec sheet but this is a S&M ATF. and top tube is 20.5 I believe, the rear end is 14.5.

I rode an ATF for a while, was abit long in the rear for me, I normally ride a Deco Self Titled frame with a 12.75 rear... its super fun, and not as loopy as I feared. The Gyro tab holes on the ATF frame are a cost addition option on all S$M frames. I love S&M and have run their parts for over 20 years... Nice bike RL, it's been awesome watching you reconnect with BMX

SO, I thought all the new school bikes weren't able to have anything but a seat that's around your ankles. This looks great and maybe I can retire/sell all my old/mid school bikes. Some people really need to understand that an endorsement from someone who has owned his own bike brand is better than a warranty.

Hi, I am interested to know whether you go for the 0mm or 15mm offset with the flatware fork. Which do you prefer? I was also curious whether you go for the regular dis compe brake levers or the locking ones? I love these levers, too, but have never tried the locking ones. Thanks.

Don't dirt jump with those skinnier Odyssey frequency G tires. They will not feel right and aren't made for dirt. Flip your ODI grips around and that flange will save your thumbs from the hinge of those levers. That's an S&M stealth post. Jay Miron invented the original pivotal seatpost which every company has copied. Love this bike. Probably cause it's similar to my bike. Odyssey tension cap on the brake is notorious for braking.🍻🍔

Actually most freecoasters and cassette BMX hubs come with 9t cog. Yours does look like a 9t. Front sprocket is usually 25t or 28t.

RL-I can't believe I am in communication with you! So many great memories from my days in freestyle. One topic I've been thinking about-how, who, named the tricks? How did the names become mainstreamed in the BMX community? Some are obvious, you invented the backwards infinity roll for example. But there are so many others with inventors not given credit. What do you think?
