When taking off the top chassis brace. No need to take the 8 loctite screws off the top. Take out the two screws underneath that screw into plastic

I will also try that as well. I still have my roller to convert to mod 1 gears. Should have the gears tomorrow!…🤞

Hi good info I got the cf rtr so it mite be easier I hope .I will wait for the bigger pinion gears and differnt motor mount before I try the smallest spur gear.

Thank you. Yea the sliding mount is probably going to make it a lot easier for sure. I also have one on order.

ive taken the rear end off about 3 times and half the screws are already rounded or almost rounded.... the motor bolts that hold the motor to the mount rounded off on the first turn so i ended up bashing the mount with a hammer to move it around and fit the longer gearing

Yea… it was a struggle when I first got mine…. I’ve changed out to better screws and upgraded the motor mount to the sliding mount…. Much more easily adjustable…. And actually the 917 is now going to be a dual motor build with a delta plastik body on it…. Hopefully it will be a good one! Thanks for watching!🤜🤛

Yea I think they sold way more than they thought they would. I ordered mine on March 15th. Hope they start shipping soon

They glue the screws on like there will be a mass loss of life if one falls out. I could get all but one out, even with decent tools and a heatgun*. The driveshaft popping out technique is true. Screws are more durable than the gears.

Yea… this car was a challenge to work on at first… love the car now… working on stretching the 917…. Hope to have it up in a few months!🤜🤛

Use a torx screwdriver and hammer it into the stripped hex. Now you have a torx head. 👍🏻 soldering iron on the screw before trying to remove

Thank you for the advice!.. didn’t think of that will try that. I’ll let you know if it works! 👍

Does it have slipper clutch or center diff?
@BNVRC Жыл бұрын
It does not have a slipper clutch. The gear attaches straight to the diff with a grub screw. 5mm D shaft
@BNVRC Жыл бұрын
No center diff… full length drive shaft from rear diff to the front diff.

ahhh plastic and metal will never do well. Metal will always get hot from friction and melt the plastic. This is a known fact. These cars were built for children, they are not in the speed run league not even close. You will be replacing parts quite often. I just can't believe people are falling for the speed run award, that will not be presented. Remember where this car is coming from, they will send you nothing, especially a cash award. they are not obligated to such a reward, LOL!!!!! Keep spending money on a dream, that will always be a dream. This is more of an ego thing, nothing more. Guy said he went 200+ already, LOL what a joke..

Thank you for your comment brother! I ordered this car pre sale and it was just over 100 bucks. I do this because I enjoy it, never had a pipe dream of winning anything as I am still new to speed running. Seems you know a lot about this subject though, so if you have any productive comments I would also appreciate those, 99.9 % of people that I have communicated with in this hobby have been nothing but nice and helpful, thanks for watching.

@@BNVRC this was a productive comment. Your wasting your money. But your right. It's your money. I helped you with my view as well. Chow
