Lol…. Yea it’s out of commission until I get some spares…. So I’m building the roller now!

I removed the 4 screws that hold the spur gear on, removed that then used a mini torch to melt the red Loctite that's holding everything and that made it much easier to remove! Thanks for posting and good luck on your next run! 👍
@BNVRC Жыл бұрын
Thank you!… I didn’t have any issues getting any of the screws loose at all…. Just getting the car apart to get to the gear… lol. The one piece drive shaft is the next thing to get upgraded! Thanks for the comment and good luck to you too!
@dustyjoe45auto19 күн бұрын
100% that's the cause . Something managed to glue the parts together. In the assembly process. A touch of heat and it all slides off. And it's never an issue again

Sound like your a pro. I was not at the time. Thanks for the comment.👍

I made custom spur shaft longer and shorter center one piece driveshaft. This way it let you slide the rear cup to remove driveshaft without disassembling whole rear end.. good video 👍
@BNVRC Жыл бұрын
Awesome idea, I may look at how to do that!

Well, I haven't started swapping parts over yet, but good to know about the motor mount and gear mesh. Dremel is always on standby anyhow! 😆
@BNVRC Жыл бұрын
I suggest the upgrade motor mount for sure. Also… not sure if it’s in that video but I discovered that turning the spur gear the other way works way better. You just have to grind a new flat spot in the shaft. Good luck! Super fun car!🤜🤛

@@BNVRC Oh nice! Thanks for the tip!

Wow thats alot of dismantling to change gears 🙄 thanks for sharing, getting the roller so will probably change gearing before putting electronics in.
@BNVRC Жыл бұрын
Yea… it’s an awesome car, built well but a bit challenging to gear swap. Two piece drive shaft upgrade I think would fix that though
@allyoucando8486 Жыл бұрын
I found is you removed the 4 screws that hokd the entire shock tower to the mount holding the diff case (2 screws behind the spare tire and the 2 on the front under the metal. With does screws out you can move up the entire halve part diff holding mount without breaking anything. I found that better. In my case, I'm thinking of removing the entire cage on the back

I still need to change gears in my roller so I will try that plus I stripped the gear in the rtr so maybe I’ll try it on that one first… thanks for the tip!
@rcmadlabz2492 Жыл бұрын
You can see the spillage on the spool of the red thread lock that was used when it was assembled. *A butane mini torch works wonders, you just needed to heat up the drive cup, and the heat would have been enough allow it to slip off, same with the bearing.
@BNVRC Жыл бұрын
Thank you… good to know… I actually just purchased a torch so I’ll try it next time… thanks

I sent 100 Mph yesterday and crashed it into the ditch. Spent an hour looking for parts. Then decided when I got home to order a roller instead of waiting for individual parts

Wow!…. 100 is crazy fast!!…. Sorry about the breakage…. I am now using the RTR for parts for my roller!!…😳

U probably needed to order the other motor mount but that works
@BNVRC4 ай бұрын
For sure… the car has gone through a lot of changes over the last year. It’s apart again… has a hobao 1/8 scale motor mount in it now. Going to do a full rebuild soon on a stretched chassis.🤜🤛

i modified the motor mount

Nice!… hope it works for you better than me the first time. I am re modifying mine now with a little longer screw and washer on the motor as well so it sits on top of the groove not inside

Is it ok if you show is how you removed the little cup thing, It won’t come off. If you can thank you
@BNVRC Жыл бұрын
That car is all taken apart for a rebuild right now so I can’t really show it…. But Rlaarlo uses a lot of locktite on the drive cups…. You will probably have to heat it up a bit and then it will come off.👍

Sorry brother. Not sure I understand the comment. It’s an old video from when the AK first came out. I was one of the first to receive it after the beta testers. Love the car. It’s Mod 1 gears now
