What a bunch of legends that have made this possible, I remember looking a couple of months ago for a working mod and being really disappointed. What’s weird is I just happened to check back today for no apparent reason and I came across this video, brilliant!

Only if DICE were able to make GA offline playable. That'll really make this game worth it more for the offline experience. Also yes would like to see you explore these maps out of bounds and see whats really out there

Fun fact! DICE apparently was testing AI bots in galactic assault to see and fix some bugs, and to test them for offline gaming. They fixed some bugs, but they didn't add bots for this mode. Why? Beacuse the ai couldn't activate/pick up stuff that are important for this mode.

Honestly I still play Battlefront 2 a few times a week and I just play the CO op modes. It's a blast. Especially playing against the droids on felucia.

Being able to play this modded and on the go on my steam deck OLED was already heaven. Now we’re getting closer to having the entirety of the game in single player.

I've compiled all the info of this video for each map for easy access when playing the mod: TATOOINE: first phase ok, second phase rough, attackers (Imperials) have trouble advancing - Attackers (Imperials): in second phase, use AT-ST to help the advance - Rebels: easy to defend forever, Imperials can in theory advance but it will take long DEATH STAR II: According to RLGlitch Gaming, this is the best-working map - Attackers (Rebels): AI will play the objective and activate switch - Defenders (Imperials): if you're a skilled player, the Rebels don't stand a chance. Imperials spawn near the objective, making it (too) easy to defend. YAVIN 4: Not much different than the Missions Attack and Defend except for the air battle AND the last phase - Attackers (Imperials): advancing is very possible but can be tough, player gotta help. RLGlitch Gaming recommends planting the explosive on the turret from the get go in the first phase to give breathing room during the second phase, as this will also make it possible for the AI to advance even without the player doing everything - Defenders (Rebels): hit or miss, winning the first phase is no problem, same for the following phases (Imperial spawn points too far) ENDOR: Be advised: AI won't spawn right away. Only play as the Rebels (attackers) - Attackers (Rebels): Rebel bots won't activate switches, so the player has to do it themselves, however Rebel bots will follow and defend the walker, and then during the last phase, the AI will play the objective - Defenders (Imperials): Only first phase available, since the Rebels can't activate switches, so it's just like the Arcade version of Endor but worst HOTH: AI doesn't work at all on this map :( Walkers will advance, but nothing more. NABOO: - Attackers (Droids): Clones won't play the objective, and the droids will go directly for the palace without staying close to the MTT, so the whole fight will be on the palace's front stairs. RLGlitch Gaming is adamant that this first phase is fun as it is. Second phase rough because of bad AI pathfinding (although they will play the objective), and the droids won't move up to the Throne Room fight, so it will be solo player against all the clones (play as a Hero character) - Defenders (Clones): Clones will just defend the palace's stairs and won't play the objective, and destroying the MTT as a solo player will be hard. The second phase will be very easy. KAMINO: A bit too much like the corresponding Mission Attack and Defend. GEONOSIS: Be advised: AI won't spawn right away. - Attackers (Clones): First phase: the player must pilot the AT-TE themselves since the AI won't do it, and it's slooow. The second phase work fine though. The sandstorm looks awesome. - Defenders (Droids): First phase: Tedious. The Clones are bad at playing the objective, the Clones will only get to the second phase if the player allows it. Destroying the AT-TE is very looong. KASHYYYK: AI doesn't work at all on this map :( Can still participate in the air battle. STARKILLER BASE: AI doesn't work at all on this map :( Can still participate in the air battle. TAKODANA: Hard map, especially on the first phase. The Resistance has all their soldiers working, unlike the First Order, so they have a huge advantage during this first phase. - Attackers (First Order): Almost impossible to get to the second phase, and if you do, the Stormtroopers won't attack the castle - Defenders (Resistance): Far too easy. CRAIT: AI won't load, but the map is still fully explorable. I will add: with the Instant Action Overhaul XL mode, the AI does load and will even go through the hangar and stuff, but will still be pretty buggy because of the pathfinding, sometimes bots will even spawn out of bounds (allowing the player to spawn on them and be out of bounds too if that's your thing, although apart from visual glitches it doesn't bring anything really interesting). JAKKU: Doesn't work well at all, big pathfinding issues for both sides.

I've been waiting for this for a long time, glad to see it finally coming to fruition. Hopefully this mod continues to get improved upon by the amazing people that made it in the first place, and the AI pathing gets fixed. I'll be watching this mod's career with great interest

Star wars battlefront 2 is very optimized so it won't be a 800 dollar computer, but it still won't be cheep

It’s not just the playing part that is fun. Building a PC is a wonderful experience that makes the patience and willingness to save for a while worth it. Also it’s not like playing games and watching content is all you can do with a computer. PCs have far more uses and functionality than your traditional consoles. Let’s not forget however about playing games your way with mods and higher quality + higher frames for a smoother experience. 😊

@@galenswhispersasmr7141 Oh no I get that. As a proud owner of a gaming PC myself I wholeheartedly agree. I just wish people would stop saying to "just get a PC" like it's super easy and anyone can afford it. I'm lucky I even have a PC at all

It is if you aren't worried about flashy lights and 4k. You can build a cheap pc for around $500. Even cheaper with used parts.

Bro i wish the modders make a separate tile for GA and Instant action so players can both enjoy the game wthout changing from the manager. And also the cross era option
