Very cool video. This is one of those "Make it happen", videos. If you want to do something bad enough you will do what it takes to make it so. My name is Steve Good. I write the Scrollsaw Workshop blog. I am going to link to this video in today's post so my readers can see your project. I know they will find it entertaining. If you are interested in seeing the post just do a google search for "Scrollsaw Workshop". Fun video.

Nice job. One of the challenges of intarsia is to find woods that are different colors so you don’t have to paint them. No you won’t get bright blue but there are blue-ish woods, brighter and darker woods.

Thanks! Yeah I love watching the guys and gals who do this with natural woods.

Hey thanks so much!! Really appreciate you watching and the kind words. I was just thinking yesterday what I want to do for May the 4th 2021. Should I stick with something intarsia wood or what about a Boba Fett helmet?

Steve Good sent me - thanks Steve🙏 Roland, I loved this project and seeing you do it was a special treat. It is great. Looks great on the wall too! Something you can be proud of for sure🐓 So let's all stick around and see what you come up with in the future👀 Mistakes? were made but, hey, we all improved our woodworking by our mistakes so no worries. Just be safe. Steel is much harder than flesh. Did I say Be Safe yet? Did you know a scroll saw can do such clean cuts so that you only have to remove a few frizzies from the bottom cut edge? Stay safe. -Mike p.s. 'Roland' until I figure what your street name is😁😁 (I'm old school that way - anonymous is so cold, eh?)

Haha thanks for the comments Mike! I’m going to be following Steve for some of those scroll saw tips because I hate filing and sanding! Appreciate your advice. Also, name is Rory but Roland made me laugh.

Hi I enjoyed your video! Steve Good sent me to check this out. I wonder what the product that that you purchased is called? I wish you had a link for them. Thanks, You were very instructive and entertaining. Thank You for sharing. Hope you check out the scroll shop blog and all the free patterns steve shares!

Hi George thanks for the comments! I will include the links soon. In the meantime, the scroll saw is a Wen from Home Depot, the sanding plate is from Woodcraft (I love this btw), and the router speed control is from Harbor Freight. I think you can get them all on amazon as well. Thank you!

How long did this take?
@RLLWoodworks4 жыл бұрын
Way too long! I started it on February 24th and worked on it off and on for about 6 weeks. Then I realized if I hurried I could get it done by Star Wars day so I kicked it into gear the past couple weeks. Thanks for watching!
