RLO Leather Lever Action Rifle Upgrade! Henry Big Boy

My favorite function and aesthetic upgrade by far ! Other than fiber optic sights this makes any lever action even more a work of art than it already is!

@@Hunting4Hookers I was really impressed by the Henry 44 magnum. I was able to harvest two whitetails this year using Underwood's 240 hollow point ammo. No problem with getting the job done.

A year or two ago I had RLO do me a butt cover, it was so nice I had em do 3 more. I like it so I didnt have to drill my 1886 stock.

Yeah, I didn’t want to drill in my wood either. That is what started it. But once I got it, I loved the cartridge loops, pocket and everything else about it. I had been looking at those and trying to figure out if I can make something similar for my Rossie 92. I have made several holsters, knife sheaths, leatherman sheaths, etc, so I think I could make one. Might not be as awesome as that, but it would be darn near close. Thanks Juddie! I’m at the kindergarten level of leather working. I ordered a bag of scraps and learning the basics like making holes and stitching. I’m light years away from being able to create something of that quality ! I’ll bet those new Howa 1500s would look awesome with something like that! Those are some really nice rifles! @@Hunting4Hookers when it comes to the leather work, start out small. Make you a knife sheath, or if you have a leatherman type tool that has an old cloth case, make you a leather case. My first thing I did with leather was for a actual Leatherman brand tool that I found while out riding my 4 wheeler. So, so I went to Hobby Lobby and went to their craft section and there was a kit to make a case for a multi-tool. I bought it and make my first case. After that, I bought the roll leather from Hobby Lobby and started making knife sheaths. Then got brave and made some holsters. I even did a repair job to a guys WWII 1911 shoulder holster. After I did that he had me make him two 1911 shoulder holsters exactly like the original he had. If you are Facebook, not sure if you do that, look up JDB Leather. I can’t put my finger on it , but that Henry scratched an itch and has become my favorite! I’m looking forward to this deer season and maybe going after a few hogs in the mean time !

how long did it take to receive it? i just picked up a henry and want a nice sling before christmas, but i am assuming the lead time for a piece like this is at least a few months. however, i am willing to wait for something nice.

If you get it straight from RLO it’s about 2 weeks. If you order through Fiddleback outpost it’s the same price but takes about 3 weeks. Thanks for watching buddy!
