Not a big deal since rugby of both codes aren’t big in Greece. But it’s a good run for Samoa to work on their game since they didn’t have that before playing England. History tells us that Samoa should beat France, but I wouldn’t take them lightly as who knows what the French been working on. Anyway, it’s good to see Greece on the world stage playing rugby of either codes since they are not known for it. They just need more time and investments for further development.

@@blueangel2717 not really, France put 34 on Greece and managed to put 18 on England even though they lost by 24 (42-18), Samoa got to gel more together this past week and warm up with Fiji and both teams came out with the win in game 2. The more time they get to play together the better they'll get. We can see the visible changes in gameplay between game 1 and 2, pace, defence, attack, combinations, kicking, Harris & Brown vs Milford. There is still room to improve but like I said if they're given time to gel more they will get better.

wish we'd seen them have more structured play going from forwards making yardage to running the ball out wide, not getting a lot of that practice with playing minnow sides like Greece (no shade, kudos for them for actually being there in the first place to have a good go themselves). Samoa needs to play more structurally offensively and defensively with their last match with France (Samoa should win comfortably) so that they can hit the quarters feeling a bit more worked out and settled.

It will be extremely difficult for Greece to do anything on this stage It’s management is run through Australia and to even have the whole team play/train together is next to impossible. Sadly It’s a dream for the Greeks that will fade after this WC.

Not really, out of their 24 players only 8 are domestic players from Greece, the rest are Australian nrl and junior grade. I do feel for them though, Greece government threatening them with fine or jail time if they play rugby, hopefully Greek government change their mind after world cup.
