i feel like rage will evolve just like every sub genre does. even though the sub genre of emo rap didn't make it to 2024, i have a feeling with the existence with opium beats that rage beats will come back. there different melody wise and different in so many other ways, but for the most part both genres carry heavy vibes. its turnt.
@rlyBeats9 ай бұрын
RIP emo trap, but tbh it played a big role in the resurgence of pop punk and the first rock album being number one first week in like a decade, i wrote a paper abt this back in university lol

@@rlyBeats i personally think emo trap ended when juice passed. atleast that's what people say. I've been watching the underground for a while now, and came across you, honestly getting a reply makes you a goat not alot of people's ever do that. thanks for acknowledging rage when nobody really did. i really did like rage, keep up the Great content, can't wait to see you get big fr 🙏

@DodgaOfficial7 ай бұрын
@@procgnethat's the point though, it's a stylistic choice, listeners of this particular sub genre want the 808 in particular to smack you in the face and the distortion it produces is a big hallmark of the genre. One thing he didn't go into in this tutorial is how far people go to basically distort, crush, and destroy the sounds so it all sounds like if a trap beat was being played out of a Nintendo entertainment system. Go listen to some rage songs, once you get a taste for it you might like it, it sounds pretty cool.

Im unbelievably confused.. this isnt rage… the true rage genre was pioneered by xxx tentacion back in like 2017/2018 and has been cemented since. Crazy distorted drums with dark, catchy, dramatic melodies with pain/emotion filled screaming/gritty lyrics. Like man its literally called rage for a reason. Songs like take a step back, failure is not an option, gnarly bastard is pure rage. This is a dying/dead genre. Im just trying to understand this perspective bc from my side it seems disrespectful as hell trynna discredit what x created and also the fact that the genre of the beat u made is not even close to dying/ just really bad fkn songs from people like trip redd. Im never gonna change my mind but id like to understand where yall coming from.
@rlyBeats9 ай бұрын
this is what the subgenre rage is, what you highlighted is not rage. “The name of the subgenre comes from "Miss the Rage", a genre-pioneering track made in 2021 by Trippie Redd and Playboi Carti whose name references moshpits during rap concerts that Trippie Redd longed for during COVID-19 lockdowns.”
