oh yeah now this is just what I needed. I looked around and could only find the usual jumbo, "try this chord progression because it's in lots of popular songs, use this chord progression because it'll make writing melodies easy" or lectures on music theory that felt more like an infodump than a toolkit. I want to make fun stuff. That's why I like your guide, because you weave in these different, slightly more complex aspects that give me a fuller picture of what I'm trying to figure out. Which is helpful cause sometimes I need a melody for my chords, most of the time I need chords for a melody, and sometimes I need to turn something that's technically good into something that's actually good and that I like. thanks for putting this out there

@@rlyBeats wunkie is right, my dude. The academic term is "appoggiatura", and it's a melodic ornament that's used to chromatically approach a diatonic note c:

Sorry bro silly question but do you have a video explaining what the numbers are? E.g “I’m going to start of with a 1, 6, 5, 2 bass notes”

What do you mean by 9th and 7th chord ?! 😭😭😭
@3RR0RC0D3OG7 ай бұрын
Base chords are built with 1,3,5. A seventh adds a 7 to the chord making it 1,3,5,7 and vice versa with 9.
