Your comparison is not weird at all! I feel Youjeen and Hikaru Utada have very similar tones and with very heartfelt vocals. This song had me in tears. I’m actually not a k-pop boy group fan so wasn’t expecting much when I saw RM had released a song but damn I was blown away by the lyrics and Indigo is a great album too.

I’m so grateful that we get to see and hear a glimpse of what goes on in RMs mind. He really demonstrates his thought process with meaningful raw lyrics and a beautiful beautiful music video. The visuals and cinematography are insane and pair so perfectly with youjeen’s longing soul-wrenching voice. And JRE the way u put into words how we all feel about his music got me feeling emotional too. That’s the thing with BTS and RM - part of what made them so popular was the fact that they were so real and honest with their music…the message their music created, I feel it resonated with all of us. Because they too, are human and struggle just like us.

It's funny that you mentioned the song reminding you of the 1st time you heard the Kingdom of Hearts song because I get it. The first time I heard this, it instantly reminded me of what I felt when I heard the song "1000 Words" by Yuna and Lenne in FFX2 (Final Fantasy X-2)....yes i'm old and most of the people here may not even know of Final Fantasy lol (It's a Play Station game btw). But yeah, the nostalgic feeling and the emotion that has been evoked from me from "that" time happened with THIS song again! and I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOVE it!

i thought the song felt nostalgic too!! i think joon tapped into the place in our hearts where our inner child lives. i get the feeling the song is about him wanting to reconnect with his young self who loved poetry and started this journey with pure intentions, before he faced the darkness and reality of what it means to be at the top. so beautiful. and i totally agree about how much pressure is on joon. he’s older than me so i never realized, but now 2017 joon is younger than me, and he seemed so mature then. maybe when i’m 28 i’ll better understand 2022 joon, who knows. i just know i’ll forever love and respect him.

As a fellow long time KPOP stan and also similar in age to RM, this album feels like it's one for those who have/are healing their inner child, nostalgia reflecting on their 20s. This sound reminds me of First Love - Utada Hikaru or even RM's previous piece Winter Flower with Younha. He really knows how to pick the vocalists for these collabs. Indigo is lyrically so beautiful and every song we get to interpret what his mind was thinking through the growth of BTS, changes he felt towards music through the years, and most of all this album is him showing his truth, his journey of finding who he authentic self.

EARLY SQUAD!! LET'S GO!! this man is in his feels for this album edit: this song and mv definitely feels like what's going on in his head. The field of flowers looks peaceful at the beginning just like when he started out in the industry then as he got bigger in the industry flowers blossoms then the storms of life takes hold he loses focus on why he started out in the business and losing a sense of himself too. Hence the line "I have no name" his name is literally a brand now. So in the video the flowers blossoms blow away and fall like ash but they bloom in another way they become the fans he sees them grow and spread out around the world.

I feel you JRE, when I heard this it made me tear up because I felt so nostalgic and happy just realizing how far they've come. I became an ARMY way back in 2014 and just seeing how much they have grown as a group and as individual artists respectfully just makes me all warm in my heart like a proud mom. Seeing your kids doing all these amazing things but never losing themselves in the process and come back to you anytime they wanna go home. I love them so much sometimes it hurts but they're so worth it. Though I've been a kpop fan since 2009, I've never invested myself this much in a group and it all changed the moment I discovered these amazing men. Whooa, it all got me teary eyed again. You know what..we're both the same. I have never like a group just how much i like BTS. Yes i like BSB, N Sync & listen to many many Kpop songs but never have i invested my time and energy like i do to BTS. I remembered the day when i was being introduced to BTS back in 2014, our college was invited to perform & my students chose to dance to Bulletproof pt.2. I was so hooked to their choreo. So i search them on KZbin and watched their videos. Damn their dance were so clean and sync! I'm in love! I have thousand of reasons why i love BTS. A few of many reasons i like them: they are so humble & down to earth, no scandal, appreciate their fans (they always put ARMY first), good teamwork, they never hide anything; they always show the "real" them including their fragile side to ARMY. I could write so much more about them but i'm gonna stop there. I'm so glad to get to know them in this lifetime. So proud each of them. I wish i could hug each of them and tell them that they did so well, we are proud of them.
