But that legendary attack did not work as well as expected (mainly beacause Rial had to change what had been his usual position in the squad the years before, and because Puskas was not at his best after two years without playing football), so that famous golden attack only played together in 18 games.

This game almost didn't take place at all. The German FA had banned its clubs from competing against any team containing Ferenc Puskas, because he had claimed that the West Germany team were on drugs for the 1954 World Cup final, in which they beat Hungary 3-2. It only went ahead after Puskas issued an apology. I bet he had his fingers firmly crossed behind his back! He certainly made Eintracht pay.

You can find an image of the match programme on-line, but there's a crease right over the kick-off time which makes it hard to read with certainty.. Looks to me like 7.30pm (and I remember watching the game on live TV as a young boy, and being sent to bed just after half time😡). Not early enough for a non-floodlit match? Possibly, but evenings at that time of year in Scotland are full daylight till surprisingly late. Would have been cutting it fine though if there'd had to be extra time!
