it was a private sale on FB marketplace, if you look on there you will see them pop up. just make sure it wasn't a 250lb guy riding it doing wheelies for a year.

hi guys i just had a quick question its a bit off topic but i need help. i just did the bottom end on my 2008 honda crf 250r because there was a little bit of play in the left crank bearing, everything is done correctly but there still is the same amount of play in the left crank bearing. it was all my money that i invested in it and i really dont know what to do now or what the problem is. can you explain what could be wrong? i also just put the bottom end completely together and tearing it apart again would be a nightmare.
@rmatvmc4 жыл бұрын
How much play is there? Like 0.001" or more like 0.030" or even more? Since the inner race is on the crankshaft and slides into that left side bearing, there will always be a slight amount of play that you can barely feel. If there is a lot of play, then something is definitely wrong. If the outer race spun on the crankcase you might have some issues there. When you removed the old bearing, was there any galling or damage on the case where that bearing presses in. Did that bearing still have a press fit when you installed the new one? What about the crankshaft? Did you replace it with a new one, or inspect the old one to make sure the inner race was good and no free play on the crankshaft? Let me know what you find. -Charles
@David-lx6yc4 жыл бұрын
@@rmatvmc I'm not quite sure how much play there was in mm, but if I would move the flywheel up and down you could hear the play in the bearing. and there was no damage in the crankcase. The bearing had a press-fit and it installed just like usual, nice and smooth.the crankshaft is still in good condition, also if I pull the crankshaft from different angles I can not feel any play whatsoever. that is what confuses me the most, one of my friends told me to just run the bike like that but I don't feel safe doing it. There is a noticeable amount of play if you push the flywheel up and down but I have no idea what the cause could be.

I wish someone would make a serious kids trail bike. We aren’t racers but we get into some pretty gnarly stuff with my 5 year old. He ran out of suspension a long time ago and moto bikes are even worse on the trail.
@justonpreble40834 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. KTM and Husqavarna kids bikes are lighter and have awesome suspension but need the EFI Honda 4 stroke motors... Would love to see honda step it up some more for the families that don't race at the track but want gnarly capable bikes with great suspension for our kids...
