Just replaced my fork seals, bushings and oil with about 40-50 hours of trail riding on them - definitely makes a difference!

When you bleed air out of forks, Make sure the front wheel is OFF the ground.

does it really matter? just wondering bc i always pull my bike off the stand and bleed them with the motion pro bleeders while i put gloves on and sit on the bike while it warms up

@@Zachmx106 Yes. As you sit on it and release pressure, you are pushing extra air out and it will cause vacuum in the forks. One of my customers did it and wondered why forks felt bad..

Great video, and you'd be surprised how many people have really bad set ups and think clickers will help them. If your more than 5-6 clicks off baseline on ANY adjustment, you need to make some mechanical changes. Just because a bike is brand new guarantees nothing. My '21 yz450f was a death trap when I took delivery of it. After all the mods I've done my settings are only 3-5 clicks off baseline. I feel more confident each time I ride it now and it's staying under me and putting the power down predictably. Just changing your tires can dramatically alter the handling.

Whats baseline? There are 3 levels on the KTM - Comfort, Standard, Sport - all of which are 2-6 clicks away from eachother

Yes. Spring rate. I see so many people complain that some bike has soft suspension and the hordes of people that come out and tell them to put heavier oil in the fork 🤦‍♂No. Shock absorbers are not there to hold you up, their purpose in life is to slow your springs down and smooth them out lol.

You forget or should mention the Rear Shock Linkage lubrication and cleaning. Plus the Swingarm bolt buschings.

One thing I have always done is ride the bike for several hours and give the suspension time to break in before messing with it. Many riders lack patience.

@Bikers On Call Simple, 9 or below on the rear 10-12 on the front. Get a tubliss or mousse to keep from damaging your rim

@@duhman84 13 and 14 might be a bit high, but I don't think he was considering mousse and Tubliss. I'll bet standard- tube for dirt bikes sells 5 to one of the the tubliss and mousse varieties, for non competitive trail , light enduro riders. I don't think his target audience is Graham Jarvis and Billy Bolt.
