I’ve tried both the open style and a wrap around Acerbis but didn’t like either. The open style wasn’t tough enough and the wrap around ones would twist every time I fell. I switched to the Cycra pro bend about 10 months ago and they are amazing. They are tough, they fit well with plenty of room for your hands and they don’t twist when you go down. I also like that the plastics are replaceable, but I still haven’t broken any after quite a few drops and clipping a few trees. They are more expensive but you pay for quality once

That's awesome feedback! Thank you for sharing! That's why the Pro Bend is a best-seller year after year!

Full wraps protect your hands better and they keep the end of the handle bars from doing damage to the body in a bad crash. And the half wraps break easier. Full wraps are way more durable !

i agree. but also a slight chance of broken wrist if it gets caught in a crash. google it if u don’t know what i mean. never happened to me tho lol. love cycra pro bend

For brute strength the strongest are: 1 Highway Dirt Bikes 2 Fastway FIT system 3 Cycra Probends If you tap and install threaded inserts into the bar ends it makes any handguard system stronger.

Hello Will any of these hand guards work on a 2020 Beta 390ssr🤘🏻
@bigronwaggles4044 жыл бұрын
I'm sure these are great for small crashes but if you have ridden bike as long as I have (over 50 years) you will find these have a bad habit of breaking a wrist or two when you crash or go over the handle bars. In my book if you just loosen the bolts on your bike controls just a little bit when you fall the will spin with little or no damage. These guards won't give if you fly over the handle bars and get your hand caught---- snap goes your wrist!!
@thepatternforms8593 жыл бұрын
way more injury occurs to hand, fingers, wrist from NOT having these. Statistically everyone should be using full wrap hand guards to PREVENT hand wrist finger injury. Yes in the more rare occurrence a rider can endo over handle bars and unluckily trap arm deeply in the full wrap bar breaking wrist but that is FAR MORE RARE of an occurrence. The rule is to be smart and run the full wrap guards. at a minimum run the half wrap open guards... Not using them is a lot like saying "im not going to use a seat belt in the car bc ive heard of rare cases where a person is trapped in seat belt and cant get out of car and burn up in a fire". bad logic!

The best hand guards were not mentioned in this video. Enduro engineering evo wrap around guards are the strongest out there. I’ve tried cycra tusk acerbis and bark buster. None of the bars are as strong as the EE guards. Also with any guard installing thread insert to the end of the handlebars will prevent the guards from rotating. They also sell the strongest flag style guards if you don’t like wrap arounds. “This is not an ad for enduro engineering, just my findings from 1000s of hours of off road riding”

*jake james* we appreciate the positive feedback. We'll have to give those a try! Thanks for sharing with us.

Acerbis uniko vs x force. Which is better and why. Don’t really need to block the vents though. I like the look of both but the d force cost more. Why’s that? Are they better?
@rmatvmc6 жыл бұрын
The X-force is more because of the removable vents (i'm assuming). The Uniko is larger than the X-force. Those are the two main differences.

How do the Tusk D Flex Pros compare to the Barkbuster Storm for coverage/protection. For a 2017 KLR 650 adv touring.
@rmatvmc6 жыл бұрын
We don't carry the Storm so i can't compare them side by side, but the D-Flex pro does offer awesome coverage. It's what we run on all our ADV bikes including the KLR.
@dangerdanadv14455 жыл бұрын
@@rmatvmc I'm a little late to the party, but I had D-Flex pros on my DR650 until I sold it. They were invincible. I angled them downwards a little so they would hit the ground before any levers (since they lack the bend of the Cycras), and they never moved, never bent, and I never broke a lever despite many crashes.

The Tusk D-Flex pro will work. Since levers are pretty long on those bikes, they will have spacers to help give more room.
