RMC is my go to place for parts. I love their how to videos, and especially loved their 5 miles of hell series, awesome. However, many of us out here have 15+ year old bikes and use RMC to keep them running so we can keep riding. Furthermore, with presently 17 million people out of work I think it is rather decedent to buy a new bike and then spend $2500 more to "upgrade it". Just my 2 cents worth.

Very surprised radiator braces weren't at the top of the list for protection. One of the first upgrades I did on my 250fx as the radiator mounts are well known to be about as strong as an empty coke can. Otherwise, love the build. Congrats on an excellent bike!

The Bullet Proof Designs radiator guard is super tough and protects the radiators very well. Which one did you go with on yours?
@SoSlo24 жыл бұрын
@@rmatvmc BPD makes some great products. No doubt about that. I have the Devol braces + guards on my '15. The braces tie back to the frame to add additional rigidity. When I first purchased my bike, it didn't have the braces and one of the radiators was bent in at the inside mounts. I was able to bend it back and the braces have kept it there. Braces are usually the first recommended mod in most of the 250fx groups and forums as the weak mounts are well know for bending relatively easily.

Just a word of advice for you since you mentioned you had thumb surgery. I would lift you levers until they are nearly level. I noticed your levers are pointing quite low.. what that does is put so much strain on your thumbs, especially under heavy braking … you’ll also feel every bump and it’s very dangerous for big jump landings.. in some countries that made it a law to level out the levers in super cross to avoid thumb injuries and also horrific wrist injuries 👍🏼 Try it .. you’ll get used to it and you won’t need that absorbing handlebar either 😎

Hey Paul, the 2 maps that I have used the most are the MX power feeling map and Keefer's smooth linear (slippy) map.
