Nice job, you could add to the video the riviting process too. Because it tricky if you dont put the right adopters, it will fail.

We show the riveting process in the HD chain riveting tool here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJfQh4R9ebSKaac

Check out our HD Chain Riveting Tool video, we show how to rivet on a heavy duty chain. We wanted to show people that this tool can do both styles. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJfQh4R9ebSKaac

I didn't buy the more expensive one.

That's okay. The process will be the same.

This is a decent tool, but if you’re working on rivet style motorcycle chains, do yourself a favor and get the DID KM500 tool (maybe RockyMountain carries it?) It’s by far the easiest and most fool proof one I’ve used. Also small enough to pack in your adv bike toolkit if needed.

really? I think your used to using that

Question. I am shortening a chain. Do I need to buy new pins or reuse existing pins? If I grind off the top of the pin then not reusable. Correct?
@rmatvmc5 ай бұрын
If you grind off the tops, they are not reusable and you will have to buy new pins, correct.

I just received my Motion Pro chain tool, it looks exactly like this Tusk one? I see on KZbin a PBR Motion Pro tool, does anyone know the f34king difference from the PBR Motion Pro and The Motion Pro that Looks identicle to this one?
@rmatvmc Жыл бұрын
This is directly from Motion Pro: "While the PBR Chain Tool is a favorite for its simple to use design, the Chain Breaker & Riveting Tool is also a great choice, especially if you’re working on multiple chain sizes. Note that the PBR Chain Tool 08-0470 will press, break, and rivet 520, 525, and 530 chains, and uses a simple block design to change tasks. The Chain Breaker & Riveting Tool 08-0058 can break chains from #35 to #630, rivet hollow nose master links up to #630, and assemble 50 series press on master links." Hope that helps!

can you just do 1 rivet is it safe?
@rmatvmc11 ай бұрын
Not sure exactly what you're asking but all pins need to be installed and riveted.
@gjk2914 ай бұрын
I've just used a kit very similar to this and It was absolute junk. The metal was so soft the rivets were just pushing into it and not crushing.

Just watched for 7 and a half minutes for you to just clip the chain together. Bro
