RMC American Eagle at Six Flags Great America. I made a version of this over a year ago, however I decided to give it another go and start from scratch. Main change I made was making the layout quasi-mobius.

Part of me would be happy if they did this because it feels like it's going to fall apart and if they did this,it would finally race again. But I think that I bigger part would be sad since this was my first big coaster and because of how much of an icon this is

Wow, that was like a showcase of everything RMC has ever done! Loved it, my only critique would be to spend some extra time on the support structure. Making the ledgers steel beams would dial the realism up a few notches, as well as some custom support work on the inversions. Overall, fantastic!

Great job. My only thought would be to make the red side lift hill a launch like Lightening Rod. That way you would have the chain lift on the blue section and the red section would be launch. Two experiences in one. I like the additional hills instead of the helix as well.

I love this! The only thing that I think needs to be added is an MCBR at the back end of the track near the turnaround. The capacity probably wouldn’t be that good. But it looks absolutely incredible otherwise!
@MinkyBoodle445 жыл бұрын
Airboss That’s true, but to be entirely honest, I haven’t been all that impressed by the dispatches for Goliath, and I’ve heard that other RMCs are also pretty slow dispatches as well. But I also understand the need for ensuring safety on the restraints as well. I just know that this would get the longest lines in the park by far, and I think maximizing the capacity would be necessary at a park as crowded as SFGAm. The brakes probably wouldn’t even have to be used, just there as a safety precaution. But yeah, don’t mean to sound like I’m bashing on this. This is absolutely killer, and it would almost certainly be fine the way it is
@jakethecake69524 жыл бұрын
MinkyBoodle44 yes this park is my home park and its packed i dont think its queue line now would be long enough to hold the crowds for this. They should put a MCBR where the airtime hill was at the beginning of the helix right after the inversion or top gun stall thing which is the same area a MCBR is right now at the top of the helix
@standm14 жыл бұрын
The MCBR could be used as a mid ride show if needed like West Coast Racers. Then it could duel everytime.

I would like to imagine a pitstop element on the brake run before the chain lift on the red side like West Coast Racers to ensure a dual I think its going to be used more commonly on dueling coasters.
@TheFringes.5 жыл бұрын
This would be a monster of a ride, but I’m not sure it’ll ever happen. I don’t think Six Flags would want 2 high intensity RMC coasters in the same park, and we would lose the record for most wooden coaster track at a park. As someone below me mentioned, a GCI retrack sounds more likely.
@Camerenyoo94 жыл бұрын
15 years ago the idea of adding more than one B&M would sound the exact same way. Now SFGA alone has three B&M's, and used to have four. Multiple parks around the world have 2+ because they were the best in the industry before. Now that RMC is taking the crown it really isn't that farfetched to entertain the idea that there'd be multiple model/makes by them in the same park. Same pattern. I hope it happens.
@TheFringes.4 жыл бұрын
@@Camerenyoo9 That's a very fair point, however none of the 4 B&M's at the park are really competing for the same market. I guess Superman and X-Flight were similar concepts, but Batman is a higher intensity invert and Raging Bull is the traditional hyper coaster. I can see the GP just thinking a hybrid Eagle is "Goliath but better" and making it obsolete. It's a toss up.

Do you think if they RMC The American Eagle, they would make the drop 300-350 feet tall? I know this sounds ridiculous but would they be able to if they wanted to?
@daleftuprightatsoldierfield4 жыл бұрын
I highly doubt it. It’s too close to the road and the park needs special permission from the city to build anything over 200 feet. Not to mention they would have to basically rebuild the entire structure from the ground up to support it.
@DARK_AMBIGUOUS4 жыл бұрын
The left upright at soldier field I know it’s ridiculous but this guy I know insists that for some reason they are going to RMC it and make it 300 feet tall, I keep telling him that it’s ridiculous but he just doesn’t understand how rare and unlikely it would be

Great America is my home park, but six flags being six flags might just plop down a twisted collosus clone. Amazing idea and I hope to see it built, however I wish the red side would take another lap after the racing section. Very unlikely but I feel some inversions and overbanked turns would be lacking
@madduxmasopust46465 жыл бұрын
Really great concept, man! I just believe if it were to happen, it would have a few less inversions. Maybe 5 if they wanted to break the record, but 6 seems a bit too heavy, but love the steeper drop and the helix section looks great!!!

Maddux Masopust nah they gotta keep the helix structure how it is
@madduxmasopust46464 жыл бұрын
XhaanFilms with the way SF is, ESPECIALLY with the whole pandemic thing rn, they're gonna have to cut some of the ride of or make it non-dueling to make it a good enough price, and the only place to cut some track off are those two helixes, you gotta do what you gotta do
@jakethecake69524 жыл бұрын
XhaanFilms then it would be so boring with rmc track bc its smooth. The only reason the helix is good is because it’s rough and that makes it fun.
@xhaanfilms24794 жыл бұрын
Grapefruit Coasters nah, if you add a very slow inversion to it, so that it takes an entire 360 to complete a roll, that’ll add a great inversion, top tier airtime and use up most of the track

I used the support generator btw

This is a genius idea, the only reason this ride is still up, because its a old fashioned favorite, but this ride could get new popularity if this new design was implemented just like cedar point did with The Beast.

I'd be ok with Iron Eagle if it isn't mobius, one side has nothing but airtime (ie 0 inversions) and the other side breaks the inversion record (ie has at least 15). You know, so they compliment each other nicely. Kind of like Battlestar Galactica at Universal Studios Singapore. That or RMCing just 1 side while keeping the traditional layout on the other.
@diamondcat99044 жыл бұрын
I personally love this but honestly for me the drop and the helix is like the best part of the ride so getting rid of it would be sad.
