I don't know what the difference was, with the first old Farmall, but it looked like it was going to take the sled home with it. Funny that the best pullers did not have duals. I don't think many of these tractors were stock.

The way the Farmall ran with the sled it almost seemed likes something had to be different.

@@lfeco Duals are for flotation, not traction, spreads out the weight to much to get a good bite on the track. On the first pull they didn't drop the pan on the sled till much later. As you can see at 6:20 , same guy, same tractor pulled again with a much different result. Let me tell you ..... there is no feeling like that pan dropping when your hooked to the front of that sled. It just shakes the ground when it hits and usually you don't go much farther after that.

The first farmall is completely super stock thats why the sled wasn't ready for him. For years he couldn't compete so he turned it into a super stock and claimed it was farm stock but it was anything but stock. A lot of those are tweaked some but the first guy is in the wrong class.

I don't believe all this tractors are out of the field stock tractors. Some of them have their injection pump turned way up more then operating range. That is cheating. That's the reason they stopped having out of the field tractor pulls around here it wasn't fair to the ones that not turning their pumps up higher then factory recommended. We used to pull ( out of the field tractor pulls)and many times would still win by going slow in a low gear.
