@ultrameka - can't do it from 8 mixer parts - they are dedicated to Midi channels 1 - 8. You CAN do it using Favorites by adding all the grooves to the same favorite playlist and then playing them from the keyboard (change from Slice mode to groove menu mode).

That is correct, Julle83. However you accomplish it, you need what you play on your keyboard to be sent to the correct channel. BTW this also goes for dragging and dropping of the MIDI files INSIDE of RMX. If you drag-n-drop the MIDI file from a groove on part 5, if you look at the data, it's automatically set up to send out the notes on only MIDI channel 5.

@NielsShoe - unfortunately, no. Only Recycle files can be imported into Stylus RMX. There is a trick to get drum samples into Stylus RMX - I'll make a Quik-E video showing this trick in a bit :D

I suppose you could change the MIDI channel within your DAW too, if it supports multi-timbral instruments.

Unfortunately, you can't. Spectrasonics never allowed those samples to be placed into the drum kit samples menus. You can only access the sound menu samples from the Sound Menus. Hopefully when RMX2 or whatever it will be called comes out (someday), I hope they revise this because just like you, I'd love to use a lot of those samples to make new kits!

@Simplistic7SalvatioN - I'd suggest hitting up either the Yahoo Groups Spectrasonics forum or a forum at Cubase or KVR audio. I don't use Cubase so I can't help but I know someone out there can! Good luck.

hey!thanks for all the grate info. so when i am in multi mode and 8 parts are playing together,(as you hit play in the video)how do i play all of them from my midi keyboard?i hit my key and only the 1 part is playing ...?i want all 8 parts be played from 1 midi channel... i use fruity loops...

i just got this plugin and when i play on my midi controller only the first part of the 8 seems to work.. when i click on the 2nd part or 3rd part and try to play those loops only the one in first part sounds... any ideas?

Thanx for your great tutorials, it's of great help to me ! A questionJohn: Is it possible to move from one RMX part-window to another with a controller? I made a template for the BCR2000 and I can control almost all RMX parameters with the controller. It is possible to change let's say, the pitch of part 1 and the envellop of part 2 without the use of a mouse, but the gui is no switching to the edit window where I am changing parameters. I searched on google but couldn't find an answer...

No - Spectrasonics and Native Instruments have 2 different formats and neither one can read the others. Battery 3 is KILLER for drums but has no real built-in sequencing engine so you have to have your sequencer (or you) play it. I wish it could - but it can't.

I went through nearly all banks coming with the stylus original and the end xpanded version and can’t find any normal clean band drums / pop drums … do you guys know names of some or how to use your own samples and import into stylus on Mac?

Yuppers - you need to change the MIDI channel your keyboard controller is transmitting on. Each of those 8 parts are on it's own MIDI channel - otherwise they would play all the same thing and sound like crap :D

This is DJ mixing software - not the same thing at all. RMX and a plug-in called NERVE are the 2 I recommend people look at for groove making. RMX has a LOT more content and variety but NERVE has a killer feel and is used by many of today's top producers - check out xferrecords [dot] com for info on NERVE.

HHHHEEEELLLLP...... Plugin Guru.... Do you or any of your subscribers know of a way to keep the Stylus RMX outputs as A through H..... Make this my default....... instead of all 8 reverting back to all "A"...... This is killing me every time I choose a new multi I have to click each individual one..... Please tell me there is way..... Thanks Guru for any reply.
