RnK out smarted all 70k people in the CFC and came up with a way to fight archons on POSs. Amazing.

Now that's a brilliant tactic Offense is the best defense after all XD That would mean that attacking POS would become a LOT harder in the future since your capital fleet attacking the place would literally fall apart if a "drebuchet" were to be used against them, allowing to easily pick them off. Sure, they could warp together again in theory, but what nullsec corp would actually give them the opportunity to do so

My Dreadnought flew around 1200km when Bastion cycle ended. But my Archon (not in triage) flew only around 500km. Does that mean (i've not tested that), that if a Dreadnought hits a triage carrier in a cycle, the triage carrier flies a bit more than 500km, because of the triage mode?

It is a shame even the rooks and kings can't find a way to beat the self archons, other then by using a somewhat cheaty game mechanic. I pray I get to observe this tactic used in battle.

Bull pucky using the assist is a similar mechanic. They had the creativity to put something to work to counter archon blobs.

This is in no way cheating... It's using the game mechanics in a creative way. Just because most people wouldn't think of it doesn't make it cheating.

***** Starbursting is not new. We've done it to our own pilots for not paying attention just for lolz. I COULD see them labeling the part where you use the enemy pos as an exploit, but if you HAVE the password it isn't any kind of exploit. Bumping things out of a POS is only an exploit if you do it FROM outside the POS. In this case, you have the password. Cant see what would be against the rules.

How do you control the direction?

AFAIK if you're stopped you fly directly away from the control tower. Place yourself toward your target and on the same side as them and sound the alarm to the crew to brace for impact. Though most of them will be jelly by the time you stop regardless.

Nah, thats POS bowling, something different. This is aiming and launching siege dreads out of a pos like a catapault. You need legit access to the pos to do this.

So is this tactic still usable in-game? It didn't get patched out or anything? If so, that's awesome and hilarious--it even makes me wonder why it wasn't used extensively in the massive battle for B-R--a turtling ball of doom is a perfect target to scatter with a drebuchet.

it requires a pos force field. the battle for B-R was fought on the station no pos was in range.
