Wow... I noticed the electronic organ in the beginning of the Vid. An old Wurlitzer with an Orbit keyboard. Best thing that ever happened to it for it to be abandoned!! this is VERY OLD news about Birchwood in the Pocono's of PA. hubby and i honeymooded there back in Nov of 1983. and it went down hill pretty much so after about less and less people would stay there. going to the islands. so sad. others up that way and closed down as well like Penn Hills. so sad they were so cool back in the days with the Heart Shaped beds hot tubs and Champaign Bath tubs from the second floor of some of the resorts. i remember as a Kid i always want to stay at one well finally I did. the week we were there there was only 5 couples there. so you really saw any one but at dinner time. made it really nice to have so few people. The Bar down in the Basement was Called the Red Baron. had GREAT sandwishes.

To me, it looked like he'd been sleeping in the back of the car shown at 13:15+, not the trailer, which seemed to have been used as a workshop and for storage. Fascinating resort, though. Glad to see you two back at it again. Stay safe, everybody.

I grew up not far from there and we went multiple times every summer. It's a great amusement park! Free admission, free parking, the world's oldest working carousel, and the world's largest wooden rollercoaster! It's pretty sweet 😁

I remember Leo 😊. So, I am a viewer and fan of RNK from Dunmore PA. The slain trooper also from Dunmore. Throughout this whole time I was nervous as my daughter was living in our Pocono home. One security officer and one township policeman. Her finance was called out from his family glass business on a 24 hr emergency to Cherry Ridge, the scene of the shootings for a replacement of the damaged bullet ridden glass. So unnerving until he was finally caught. Thank you for the video.

Brilliant intro with perfect music choice. I remember your first visit and Leo, he was pretty cool given his job, but you are always polite. This place was classic for its time, and they just lost traction as air travel became affordable, they simply couldn’t compete with the whole world I guess. I loved the way you interlaced the news pieces from the hunt for Eric with where he was discovered. If he was there the whole 7 weeks, it was a good hideout, and must have been intimidating for the officers who had to go in. As always with you, there are many beautifully composed moments in this filming, like the cocktail swords scattered without reference for size, and that amazing arched ceiling. I’m sure it was once a wonderful place to get away to on holidays. I will never understand the wanton destruction of art and architecture for its own sake...it serves no purpose at all, and some of the art in these places was created by well known artists of their time, and carry real value...at least until Nature takes it all back to Herself. Nice to see Kristy out again. Stay safe out there, and thanks for revisiting to show us the rest. Peace.🖤🇨🇦

This is were my husband and I spent our Honeymoon in the middle June 1966. It was such a nice place. They had different things planned each day and you could take part or not. There was not a airplane hanger. They did have the use of a plane not to far away. They cabins were so nice with a canopy bed. Breakfast and lunch were served several hours so you could pick when you wanted to eat except dinner was only served at a certain time. No assigned seating and it was always casual except We’d. night and they called it anniversary night. Each table got a cake to share. My one and only time to ride a bicycle built for two. It was such a nice place.The couples years after us it wasn’t good enough for them. At one time there were many Honeymoon resorts. but all bite the dust. The couples took who would take a Cruise or fly to more exotic places. When I think of it I smile.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon there in 1976. It was an awesome place. All inclusive. We loved our honeymoon there. I always wanted to go back. Unfortunately it was closed. Now it is in this sad shape. What a shame.
