Interesting that becoming a fighter pilot requires 20/20 eyesight, yet we see numerous fighter pilots with bottle-bottom glasses....

a fully trained fighter pilot is very very expensive.

@@Jon-yy8hx Sure, I understand the concept of starting out with the best possible candidates when available. It's just an interesting fact that many of the minimum requirements only disqualifies before training begins. But then again, some of the minimums to enter flight school gets harder over time as well, so there is that.

@@Darealvolli Well, I don't think I've heard of any not demanding perfect eye sight initially, while most also realize that this is something that changes as people get older.
