I must correct one thing: 7:50 "The triple 7 can't fly to Madeira" is wrong. Lauda Air and later Austrian Airlines regularly flew with 777-200ER into FNC in the past. There are even some videos here on KZbin showing that. On that note: Lauda Air even flew to CORFU with the 777-200ER, and also there are videos of it online!

Actually the biggest problem on RNPAR for most sim airliner is FTE. While most of them can draw ARINC424 procedure on ND just fine *cough PMDG cough*, but when actually turning, the AP just goes wild and get 0.5 miles off the track.....

Nice Video Please posting more of approach and arrivel maps where you explain them. Thank you Have a nice weekend

I think it's important to mention that something like an "RT leg" doesn't exist, it's not an ARINC 424 leg type. It makes sense that it doesn't exist as well, because geometrically, it is identical to an RF leg. I'm not sure why Jeppesen apparently uses its own made up name for this type of leg. If you look at the original Madeira approach chart in the Portuguese AIP, these legs are correctly labelled "RF".

Hello again Emanuel, I come to your channel to get the information, training and deeper knowledge that is lacking at my airline… Thank you!

Worth mentioning that some aircraft in the sim, such as the inibuilds A320neo does not have in its database, and will not load an AR approach, with the reasoning being it’s simulating real life as much as possible.

The Honda Jet will fly them but not the Vision Jet. I love flying these curvy RNAV approaches. It's fun to stay in autopilot and watch the plane do it's thing.

i've never seen anything called ratius to turn, i'm not sure what the RT means maybe right turn, i know RF legs radius to fix legs, and FRT fixed radius turn, but i believe FRT are for enroute ops

Hello, thanks for the video! I have one question about LOWI rnp (AR). I tried to fly this approach on the 737-800 but it seems like my fmc put FL130 on all the legs from ELMEM until RW08 and not calculating correctly the descending path. What am i doing wrong?😓

So why we have AR approaches when same airport has non-AR approach? Using AR costs more for company, it chould pay for airplane certification, pay for pilot certification and training.. or AR approach design more efficient to use then non-AR?
@A330Driver7 ай бұрын
Usually they provide (much) lower minima. If we look at Madeira for example, we will find the (standard - non-AR) RNP A RWY 05 has a minima at ~800ft while the RNP Z (AR) 05 has its minimum at 374ft.

And maybe I'm lonely, that's all I'm certified to be! There's just one and only, one and only promise I can keep! As long as the engines are turning, as long as the JET A is burning, As long as AP NAV is holding true, you better believe it! That I would do anything for the Triple-Seven, I'd run right to Vegas and back! And I would do anything for the W, even pay a hundred million and that's a fact! And I'll never forget the way I'll feel when the release date will be announced! No way! And I would do anything for the 77W...

Hello Emmanuel, one question. Is RNP(AR) more precise than LPV ???
@tomstravels5206 ай бұрын
Typically no. But LPV is a type of RNP approach where you’re using SBAS technology to get higher accuracy on an ILS like glideslope. The ToLiss A320Neo/A321Neo have this in Xplane

Interesting topic. Thank you very much for the explanation. I have a question though. Is loss of GPS signal simulated in our sims? What I try to mean is if that is not simulated then %99 of sim planes are AR capable.

You mean RNP-capable...

Hi, Emanuel! I have a question: when loading the aircraft, in real life, are you allowed to order as much extra fuel as you want? Thanks!

Now when is PMDG going to incorporate authentic RNP AR approaches in the 737NG without having to construct these irritating pseudo waypoints on RF legs that make the LNAV go zigzagging across any such approach?
@A330Driver7 ай бұрын
At some point after the 777 release. The 777 has this already, once it's out and stable there will be an update to the 737 where this stuff is incorporated.
