The failure of most african youth who tried to make a home made aircraft is that they have focused too much on body shapes than air frame, airodynamics and rotors/motor. I recommend to read and understand more about mainframes, airodynamics and motors that could lift the weight of the airframe. And try to avoid more metals, that will make your plane loaded. But It's good that you have grasped some information from the internet. I appreciate that. And keep on reading.

very true. there is a lot of requirements to make it airworthy. in addition to aerodynamics, the airframe should be tested for different stresses while static and various movements. the engine for aircraft are composed of different metals that behave different at temperature and altitude. weight and balance need to be calculated. landing gear should be tested if it can withstand landing forces. there should be ice prevention on propeller and leading edge as ice can build up in high altitude. regardless from the resources, he got he did excellent.

I completely agree with you. In a country thousands of engineers graduate from university, no body even one person decided that this young man needed to have a Product Design Plan in respect of the agreed engineering principles in the world, such as the British BS standard or other which legitimises the finished product. I didn't see any sort of scientific explanation how the supposed airplane can get over obstacles to fly in respect to the physics laws, that shows that all those engineers to be coming out of university with square hats have no clue what exactly is an engineering to begin with, except looking forward to seat behind a desk and earn good salary to fatten up their bottoms that is why the country is where it is importing every single machinery . The supposed engineers such as Engineer Yilikal prefer to meddle in the politics rather than to show the skills and knowledge he acquired after years of studying . What a shame. At least this has exposed what a shambolic education institutions is run in the country. No reflection on the kid who tried his best.

ወንድሜ ልምከርክ ስለ aerodynamics በደንብ ማንበብ አለብክ ሙከራክ ጥሩ ነው ግን ለሚዲያ ቸኮልክ የሰራከው junk መብረር አይችልም ይህንን እርግጠኛ ሆኜ ልነግር እችላለሁ ። የሠራከው ክንፍ lift generate አያደርግልክም airfoil ሚባል ነገር አለ ስለሱ በደንብ ማንበብ አለብክ ማወቅም አለብክ ከ NACA series airfoil መርጠህ ክንፍህን መስራት አለብህ ። Fluid mechanics course አልወሠድከም?? እዛ ላይ ሁሉም ነገር አለ በደንብ እየው። let me tell ou one clue when you plan to make airplane start with weight ( air plane wt +pilot wt +fuel wt ) then goto selection of airfoil (NACA series )finally goto thrust selection (engine power selection ) if you follow and do calculation correct your plane will fly .

A young man with a vision! However, the aircraft needs improvements: Incrased wingspan for more lift - the airfoil/wing structure seems a bit distorted as well. I hope the motor will provide enough thrust (could be underpowered). Strengthen the elevator - seems to wobble a lot during taxiing. - I recommend the KZbin Channel: Peter Sripol. He made 4 aircrafts like these himself and all went airborne. Good luck and take care!
