Hello Abraham Mehari, I am the American born son of a Nigerian father. I am an electrical engineer and find it embarassing that people claim to invent things which they never show working. There is a KZbin video of a Nigerian man who built a plane, starts the motor, puts on a airline pilot's headset and cap, taxis the plane down a little dirt road, taxis it back to where he started from and turns the motor off. He never flies the plane. I doubt if it can fly. I am embarassed for him.

He certainly has access to the internet and yet fails to look up basic aerodynamics and physics. He cannot believe that those basically flat wings will produce any kind of lift whatsoever. The plane is overweight, under-powered and has 0 lift surfaces, so yeah it is pretty embarrassing to just copy thing without even basic understanding and expect them to work. With those limited resources he should build a plane using fabric instead of metal, reduce weight by removing the covering, windshield, build a plane with high-wing, much larger wingspan, or build a gyro-copter. This plane would never fly not even with a larger engine. All of this knowledge is readily available in any physics textbook.

the whole idea is to get off the ground. Not go around in circles on the ground. But...you are oh soooo close to actual flight. I suggest the following: a steep downhill leading to a high cliff. The increased forward motion with result in increased airflow over those little wings. Once you go over the cliff, you'll have achieved flight. Happy landing.

nice tray. with that thrust you need bigger wing and you do not have inboard flap on the wings that can lift the airplane. you need to be careful that if you make the inboard flap is big you can get flip upside down

Looks like he based his design or copied it of the cri cri . The problem is because of its size and power the original cri cri has to be even more efficient in its aerodynamics and its design to fly and handle properly. Despite his facsimile his version has no chance of getting airborne and heaven forbid if it did it wouldn't stay there very long or in one piece either

The iriony that he is trying to copy the Cri Cri, which had the goal of being the smallest aircraft to lift a person... Why not copy a simpler design? Ditch that T-Tail and get one with a wing above the pilot AND a dihedral, so the plane will want to automatically come back to center. Next you need some strength. If this had the power to take off, he would die. Those wings would literally rip off from lift long before the plane got off the ground. Next you need the wings built correctly, so more air flows over the top of the wing than the bottom to create lift, and that surface area must be big enough. Finally, you need some engine(s) with enough power to push or pull you down the runway fast enough to get enough lift under the wing to lift the wing and the weight of the entire aircraft and its passenger(s). Next, it had better be balanced on its center of gravity or you crash. Now, ALL of your control surfaces had better work and move the correct direction or you crash. Finally, you need a method to trim it once in flight... or it is a fight not to crash...
