Having just spent several weeks of a miserable UK winter removing and rebuilding a set of carbs on my 1990 GSXR750L, alternatively struggling in a cold cramped wooden shed or stinking the house out with petrol fumes for days, I watched you comfortably beavering away in your lovely workshop in Oz with envy 😂. I think one of the other reasons for limiting the lockstops on race bikes is because of the limit of travel on steering dampers. You'll fail scrutineering if you hit the limit of travel on the damper before you hit the lockstop. Those Hel calipers were utter porn. Would love to see a bit of detail on those when you get it all on-track. Loving the content Josh, keep it coming.

Your logical, methidical approach with attention to detail, added with an analytical driven way of thinking are great qualities to be gifted with for both a racer and bike builder. Brilliant to watch, thanks Josh

Really impressive enjoying this series and the blade is gonna be an absolute weapon 💨 it’s easy to understand why teams require dedicated professionals for each expertise like suspension, brakes, electronics tyres etc etc. Doing it all alone requires so much knowledge and experience.

Really, really enjoying this series. What a great way to spend the off season in Europe. Keeping the skills sharp and getting used to a new bike while doing the mechanicing yourself too gives an intimate knowledge of the job to come. It is you guys doing it for real right!? And not just cameos for the camera and then a bunch of Honda technicians step in to takeover!! 😧😉 Keep 'em coming please.

@peterfalconer-h3k10 күн бұрын
I haven't done this since the eighties but nothing much appears to have changed, maybe less time on the lathe or the mill fabricating parts and making all the other stuff needed to turn a street bike into a race bike because a lot of parts look like they're available almost off the shelf nowadays. Anything from HRC was horrendously expensive back then too and that doesn't appear to have changed much.

I seen this many times before but was always wondering how is then crankcase breathe? Now I seen you do it then Im more confident is ok to do so but if somebody reading this could shed more light on this would be awesome 😊 probably dumb question for you guys years in racing but Im genuinely interested.
