Currently converting my new 22 Road Glide Limited rear end to a Special. Extended bags, Road Glide Special Rear Fender with tri bar extension and Custom Dynamics rear turnsignal eliminator lit license plate. Switched the seat to a Road Glide Special seat a chrome front end and whola! A Road Glide Special on Steriods!

I only have my tour pack on when my wife is riding behind me or I go on a trip (which I don't do anymore). Looks good.

That is what I figure now. When we go on long trips I will put the tour pack back on the bike. Ride Safe

I just took my TourPak off for the first time. Yes, ran into this problem. Also, can't put the back rack from other Road Glide on because the license plate is in the way. Thanks Buddy, I'm researching these Custom Dynamics lights now!

Greetings from Los Angeles to all fellow riders. Good job day rider ~ you should consider installing the rear fender tip light. check with Custom Dynamics they sell matching run and brake rear fender tip LED light, it is plug & play. I put it on my 2020 FLHTP it works beautifully and y’ll like it. Always safe ride 🤟🏼

Haven't seen the Fender Tip light listed on the CD site for awhile. I got the last one at Dennis Kirk. The Fairing XChange has a few though. The fender tip light is great!!

Hey look at that - just like my old Ultra Limited! You are going to love the change in handling. My detach kit came with the license plate and antenna relocation brackets, unless you didn't buy the complete kit because you already had the saddlebag lights? Make sure to get momma a back rest for when the tour pak is off. Looks good, but now the toll license plate readers will be able to see your plate when the tour pak is back on...

I was thinking about the toll roads right after I did this! I did not buy the kit so that is why I want to Custom Dynamics for the license plate kit of theirs. Everything seems good so far. Ride Safe

As I’m sitting here watching the Daytona 500 watching this got me thinking about my setup. When I bought my 2017 Road Glide Ultra I had them install the Quick Disconnect for the Tour Pack. My license plate is above the light and the white light is on top of red lens. I never had the Tour Pack off but your setup looks great

I have the same color scheme on my 16 FLTRU ! Just completed the detachable tour-pak. Didn't use the Harley Kit but managed to use all HD and Custom Dynamic parts - including the plate relo - which is engineered really well and went right in. By the way, look into the AdvanBlack tank console. It really looks great!

Looks good HDR! Not sure why you’d remove a tour pack especially since you do a fair amount of touring but if it’s what you want it’s your bike. Does look nice though! Surprised Mrs HDR isn’t objecting to losing her big comfy back rest?

Took it off rolled up the cable it’s under the seat. We stream music over Bluetooth. Only using an antenna when we travel with the tour pack. Thanks for watching. Ride Safe

I know this is an older video but have a question. The license bracket is metal to metal against the fender? Or is there a gasket between them?

I would never consider removing the trunk on my bike it is too handy to put my helmet in and all my other junk plus I might be able to pick up a gallon of milk on the way home if I need to. The bike looks good without it. But one thing leads to another now you need a different seat a solo seat would really look good.😆😆😆😆 you have a good Channel with good content ride safe.

We will still use the tour pack when we travel. I just have wanted a second bike for a long time and with todays market I just can't seem to find what I want. This is my next best solution. It is also nice having the extra 60 lbs off the back of the bike. As for a solo seat that would look nice but Mrs. HDR will still be riding with me local so I want to keep the seat on. I am glad you are enjoying the videos. Ride Safe
