In 2020 my friend back in Ghana wanted to undertake that Brazil through Central America route journey to the US and I discouraged him. Because in 2018 I watched a DW TV documentary on that journey and risk in it, even more dangerous than passing through the desert to Libya.

I have visited most of the central and southern American countries and sometimes if you see how some Ghanaians and Africans are hustling over there it’s just so crazy. I remember when I visited Medellin in Colombia I was so surprised that a Ghanaian approach me for help. I did what I could do to assist a brother. People should be careful about some these journeys. When there’s life there’s hope.

With flight it’s easier but you need to just save money. You’ll use ur Brazil permit to make that journey cos once you get to Brazil, the immigration will give you papers.

Bro it’s visa free but unless you get transit visa to Belize 🇧🇿 and now their immigration system is getting a lot migrants passing through to America so it’s not easy again plenty restrictions

Always do your research, learn your geography and save money before travelling. He could have travelled to Mexico straight instead of passing through all these other countries from Brazil and risking his life. Better still he could have gone to the USA on a student’s visa but I understand he was desperate.
