It helps to heel/toe downshift even with auto-blip clutch enabled. When your tires overheat in iRacing, it takes at least one lap before they're back to normal, so if you spin or even if the back end steps out and you saved it, you need to back off your brake points for a few laps or you'll spin again. iRacing tire model is very sensitive, lap 1/2 before warm tires needs different braking references and careful throttle. At 14:18 you lit up the rears, and then even more on the next corner, they were still too hot when you came around the next lap in the same spot you had a full spin

Yeah I actually try to heal/toe but as you can see I'm pretty trash at it lol That overheating tire info I feel like will be game changing for me. I didn't realize how that functioned at all. It's definitely going to be something I pay way more attention to and will hopefully help out a ton. Thanks so much!

The one thing that is specific for the Vee's is to never go back to 2nd gear. Once you get to third you don't go back down. Third and fourth only is the way. With the weird gearing in the car, second will just rip the rear end out of traction unless your basically still. This car is all about momentum and you'll be surprised how much speed you can throw into the corners with. One of my favorite cars on iracing so far

Ok that’s good to know thanks! Does that ever make the oil temp too high? I noticed that happened a few times during the races but wasn’t really sure what was causing it

@@costangracing That happens to me too but it’s never caused a problem. The races are probably too short for it to matter but I don’t really know.
