I got to say from my experience being a truck driver I've been around a lot of bikers who are just weaving in and out of lanes not using any turn signals and almost wiping out in front of me. Explain to me why a biker needs to go 100 mph in a 65 zone tell me if they were to wipe out because of a truck driver merging and not seeing them in time why are we four wheelers and truck drivers considered to be out fault. I respect motorcycles especially the ones who know how to operate them carefully and respectfully but the ones you use them in a reckless manner that may cause harm to other motorists should not be on the road at all.

you are 100% right. I've rode over 300,000 miles on Harleys I had and you drive right look out for others and don't get in a jam by doing stupid shit. I was riding home on I-40 one day and because I always look ahead I seen brake lights popping on and started slowing down. fast lane was coming to a stop so I went to grass median seen car behind me doing same thing and kept going till I seen them stop had I not done this they would have run over me. so once both lanes had come to a stop 2 truckers had both lanes covered and waved their hands for me to get back on road and healed up traffic for me to get going safely. once we got on down the road seen it was an old coupleb, that shouldn't have Ben driving, going about 30 mph in fast lane. now a days wouldn't be able to dive to median like this as they put up steel cables that would have cut me in half. big respect for truckers they feed us and my best friend growing up dad was long haul trucker stay safe out there.

Totally agree. In my short - yet quite intense - experience as a biker, I never pulled shit like they did. I can't even see where the point is and some of them just think they own the road. A lot of bikers (and most of them are lads and lasses of my age) need to learn some respect.

The reason why many areas allow lane splitting is because if motorcycles will overheat if they sit still or in slow traffic. If a motorcycle couldn't lane split say in rush hour they could not drive home. All the childish hitting mirrors flipping people off only causes possible dangerous situations though.

Driving a van with no DRIVER SIDE mirror is illegal and moronic. Using the phone is apathetic driving, and now illegal in most states. I carry a pocketful of skittles for ppl like this; Distracted drivers. When you toss a pinch of skittles (about five) the noise the driver hears as they bounce off his car or window is very effective.
