As requested by "derryjanner" Here is my cover of "Redwood Forest" from the Sega Megadrive game "Road Rash" This one took 24 hrs & 15 minutes to write.

I was wondering why it sounded slightly different from what I remember from the game. Then I read one of the other comments about it being a cover. My initial reaction was: "Well, of course. Seems so obvious that this soundtrack should have been covered/reworked. At least, it's obvious now that I know it has been". My verdict: Some of the pitch bends don't deliver in quite the same way as the OG version. But I don't mean that as anything other than an observation. Overall, it's thick, full-bodied and crisp. As others have said - very faithful to the original. Nice work. Very nice work indeed. The only thing missing for me is the satisfying sound of beating the shit out of the AI opponents - although I don't miss the Lo-fi tyre-squeal. That was never particularly pleasant on the ear. Either way, will definitely be checking out some of your other uploads. P.S. If you have time, I'd be interested to hear a rework of the 'Palm Desert' theme. That's probably the one that stuck with me the most other than this one.

The absolute respect for the original piece, and yet the fresh feeling of the added choruses and drums makes this a tiny masterpiece. Every note is there as I remember it... watch out... nostalgia overload imminent!!!! XD

Your Welcome! When I started writing it, I wasn't sure what direction it would go, but I just kept listening to it thinking, I think it needs this or that, in some spots it only needed some subtle things like synth pads and other flat spots I added more drums, toms etc. I also used alot of layers, I ended up using like 10 snares layered just to get the sound I want lol and about 3 or 4 for the main guitar sound. Anyways I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for the nice feedback. :)
