After watching this video some 6 years ago and doing some more research I decided to go with a Hiker Trailer. I've owned mine since Fall 2018 and have never regretted the decision. After years of tent camping (including some not so comfy deployments with the Army) the Hiker Trailer has brought back the fun to going camping. Thank you for the review you shared 6 years ago.

Just an FYI for everyone. These start at 2895.00 so if you're not looking for all the glam and are ok with the basics to start, these are awesome! Me personally, I look at it as a step up from tent camping. It's for basic sleeping and I can add what I need as I go. Plain and simple ✌

The fully decked out ones are crazy. But for around $6000 for a sleeping are that us better than a tent its not bad. Hiker trailer is for more affordable than most tear drops out there.

only if you only look in the overpriced teardrop space. That said, I don't blame them for separating the fools from their money. and this one doesn't even have the cuteness factor to fall back on, its a box trailer with two closets and a pickup tool bin.

i have the 6x8 runaway, it is far less in price and comes with an ac unit. im not putting down your choice in going small like most other comments, as mine suits my needs. i can pull it with my utv, or my jeep and my wife can push it in and out of the garage. i do think it way over priced, but hey its your money and if you want it buy it. as far as all of the negative comments out there, if your so worried about where your gonna poop or how your gonna shower, than you have no business leaving the comforts of your home. just netflix and chill!

I will pm you Bryan on Facebook I have a few more questions.

If you don't have to have the solar panels...you can get a 28 foot pop up camper that weights about 3800 with two queens beds, shower, toilet, three range burner, stove, oven, microwave, a/c unit, furnace, that's about four or five years old for about 8k - what you have is a rich man's tent.

4x8 enclosed trailer=$1500. Throw in a futon and a Coleman stove and probably whatever else you want and come out waaaaaayyy ahead financially. I did a 5x8 for $2000. Has a built-in, outdoor kitchen in the back, A/C, fan, tiny wood stove, 15 gallons of gravity fed water, & toolbox. It’s easy and fun to make it your own.

The point is that it shouldn't be a main feature of the trailer. They included charging ports for a computer and phone....so what? It looks like a great hot box in the Spring/Summer. But you can get AC for it...yep, now it costs more... but for what ....for $ 9000.00. Not an off road trailer, so the question is what compels me to get this versus a pop-up?..
