this wasnt a V02max test (i thought it was going to be and I really wanted to do one) I got to 72 V02max but i didnt go to max speed we stopped at 3;04 pace

Downhill work is one of them but also for me as an athlete 3;04 pace per a K is my 5k race pace so it very close to my limit

not really, i got to 72 but it wasn't all out effort and my 5min at 3;04 pace was 60min into the test - guy said im most likely around 74-75

It’s interesting that for you this is only the first test in ten years. But the results seem only to confirm your own feeling about the correct training zones.

Overall Lactate Testing became more common only in the last 3-4 years (or maybe this is just now everyone is sharing more on social media) and it feels like everyone is testing all the time now. when i started with ultra running back in 2012 I dont think many ultra runners tested but now most elite runners do test a lot
