Road to Paris: Olav Aleksander Bu

Road to Paris with the famed Norwegian coach Olav Aleksander Bu. He and I chatted about what was working for his two top athletes Gustav Iden and Kristian Blummenfelt during their nearly unbeatable reign from 2019-2022.
Then we spoke about what has needed to be changed since then, especially with Blu who in just a few weeks i hoping to successfully defend his gold medal! Super intriguing!

Fantastic interview. Olav is certainly innovative, that said, Christian’s form is doubtful and Gustav is plagued by injury and maybe burned out? Time will tell if the Norwegian method is really compatible with longevity…..

Thanks. Great interview. Really nice having two people talking without stress. Blu is not the favorite, not even to a medal. Top 10 would be amazing. Top 6 even more.

I mean, if an ex-athlete becomes a coach, then (s)he is automatically famous. But Olav has made himself a star figure like Kristian and Gustav!
