It was insane to me to hear what comms were like during worlds. I was also VERY shocked to see how Paul trash talked the levis as the event began and even after his interview talked smack about zapman. The way it played out was the biggest display of karma. The team who was overly confident and trash talked their opposition got blanked by the team concerned about playing the game smart and making sure their teammates had what they needed to succeed. Titans came in with confidence, because they won the last playoffs, but they came in with too much. Paul's famous last words about the Levis making mistakes? The clownery. At that point it was just arrogance, they got outdrafted and outplayed by the Levis on every turn. Zap truly was integral to this team winning Worlds, even during post game, the Titans would start blaming each other and no one, not even as a team, really took responsibility for the misplays. Zap kept the Levis cool, centered, and focused. Totally deserved. At this point the Titans just leave a bad taste in my mouth.
@theBinsen2 жыл бұрын
These comms show a lot of how the team synergy goes and how much of an impact zapman is, he may not be the best mechanical player but GODDAMN he is the best in shot calls and comms. Take for example Paul at 2:08 ish, he says they gonna make mistakes and honestly? Levis did them in the past, but the voice from zapman really dictated the finals. Congrats to leviathans and in my honest oppinion, Zapman is indeed the true father of smite and the main protagonist

He's a general. Many players can be soldiers but it takes someone to lead them into battle, have a good strat. You know the Levi's 100% trust zaps calls.
@PhaythGaming2 жыл бұрын
Zap having "poor" mechanics is overplayed imo. He has amazing target selection and hits most of his buttons. His relics used to be pretty poor but he's made a huge advancement in that regard. Players like pandacat, CycloneSpin, SOT and Jarcorr are not the standard for mechanics, they are the exception. I think it's quite obvious zap is at least at the standard for mechanics, if not having moments of brilliance as well.
@theBinsen2 жыл бұрын
@@PhaythGaming I didn't mean to say zapman had poor mechanics, I wanted to say that there were other players who were better than him mechanic wise, downgrading zapman was not the objective, it was to point out his great shot calling.

I think it's pretty telling as who had the more indispensable 2x on their team just by looking at 16:24 and 22:51. Selfishness vs. selflessness. Zap would do anything to ensure his teammates thrive in-game and he made the Titans look like fools in the picks and bans.
@i4m1922 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, paul thinks too highly of himself.
@jakeyoung50072 жыл бұрын
I think they all understood that Paul is the win clause, seeing how Zap was with the LATAM boys, I’m sure zap tutored Paul to be this confident powerhouse. Confidence is key, and Paul was the only titans player who didn’t suck at worlds finals. Layers was a toxic little child, and Spin kept the confidence at a maximum, and got clapped each time. But from this titans rooster, my beef is with Layers.. that dude is super childish and bad for any brand.
@e_tas_2 жыл бұрын

Yea, I wouldn’t call it toxic, just a bad mesh of personalities imo. When everything is going well, it works, but when it goes wrong you see it. The “funny” part to me was after game 3, paul asked layers how they lost a fight and asked him if he missed his buttons. Layers was like “nah, we we just died” and Benji was like “yea, we died because you missed your 3” and layers didn’t say much after that. I agree with the rest that the OP said.
