Road Trains in Australia - What is a dog run? 🐾 part 1

This is part one of me doing a dog run.
A dog run is basically when we run the additional trailer/s required for large road trains that are unable to tow all of their trailers at once out of the city or built-up areas.
We usually refer to the rear trailer as a dog trailer so the name “dog run” basically comes from that because we are running the additional trailers out (which may be at the back or front depending on the needs).
In part one you will see me hooking up the road train consisting of two trailers and a dolly and then a brief description about why dog runs are necessary .
You’ll get a brief tour of the town of Wubin and get to see what thee road train assembly area looks like.

when backing the dolly under the rear trailer, there is no ability to control the height of the airbags on the dolly? Heights would have to be aligned by cranking up the legs on the rear trailer yes?

That is correct. So i just put the handle in low gear and wind it down to the right height.

It is the name on a truck with multiple trailers usually between 36.5-53.5 and even 60 meters long
