Very informative channel and exactly how I like to plan my trips, so this channel has been an amazing find! How long does the Hooker valley trek typically take? And will it be possible to squeeze in that and a heli tour if I start from Lake Tekapo? I will be travelling in 1st week of December

Great to hear you getting value out of the videos. Yes, you can include the all from Tekapo, just start as early as you can. Generally the weather (and wind) for heli-flights is best in the morning. Then do the walks in the Mt. Cook Village area afterwards, such as the Hooker Valley. Takes about 3 hours return (if you do the full length). Hey Buddy...love your video. Very informative and all the tips. We will be at Lake Tekapo on Dec 24 to 27th this year.. a dumb question, but Mount cook areas are open during the public holiday? yeah? any shops open?

Great to get value. Yes, the park is open, but 25 Dec (our Xmas day) more or less every shop, restaurant and many tours are closed. Petrol stations still open. So, you really want to plan ahead for that day. Enjoy your time!
